Electric deck

I was looking at making an electric deck based around Magnezone and Raikou, I was thinking Magenezone in a 3-1-3 line up with 3 Raiku and 2 shaymin-ex.

Was also thinking of adding Pikachu-ex or Manectric-ex/M manectric-ex but I was not quite sure, Manectric seems like the better choice but not sure as I would then have 2 energy accelerators but would be good to get energy out of discard possibly encase Magnezone ends up being my main attacker for some reason.

But just wanted to hear general thoughts of how to make this deck work and what trainers and such would be bests.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Well, I think the mega takes up too much space, and you already have acceleration with magnezone, so I would'nt run it. Hex Maniac kills the deck, and item lock hurts it too. If magnezone ends up being your main attacker? Just run a switch or something, your over-planning! Use common staples and maybe something like fisherman.

I could be wrong but I don't think item lock would hurt it to bad assuming I can get out Raiku and Magnezone early but I guess the item lock could slow that down.

I am over planning slightly just worried about spending a load of boosters on this deck for it to be a dud, finally got a large amount saved up so just want to get some thoughts on it before I do so.

Thanks for the advice though.

Also was possibly even thinking mega mewtwo could be decent in this deck combined with magnezone.

It could be, but then you barely have any room. One copy of normal NxD Mewtwo might be good though. Raikou and Pikachu provide enough attack already. Also, turn 1 Treveant with wally or turn 1 Quaking punch means no rare candy.

Yeah I was leaning towards Pikachu, but just at 110hp it seems quite easy to take out and the 3 energy discard attack seems pretty heavy, with magnezone it seems great, using that attack then attaching 3 more next turn but the discard seemed pretty heavy and requires me to have the needed energy in my hand.

Probably is a good choice but I just want to be super sure on any card before I spend boosters.

Well, commonly with Pikachu-EX you discard the energies, then you use Fisherman/SuperRod/EnergyRetrieval and then Magnezone them back on. A good deck like this uses Raikou normally but moves in Pikachu-EX to knock out big EXes and Megas.

MagneKou and Pikachu-EX are really good together. In future, adding the new Clemont card could be a fun addition.
