Basic BREAK.

Just wondering what you guys think, will there/should there ever be BREAK cards for Basic Pokemon? Preferably one's that don't have Megas, such as a Tauros BREAK, Tropius BREAK or Corsola BREAK. That way we don't have to keep waiting for them to get evolutions, because they'll just have a BREAK which should be a good enough compensation.

If you agree, what Basic Pokemon would you like to see get a BREAK card?

If you don't agree, how about naming a few already evolved forms that you still want BREAK cards for.

A Basic BREAK has already been confirmed: Lugia BREAK. Unfortunately, the BREAK isn't good (though the Basic Lugia itself is decent, being a slightly better Bouffalant).

In fact, here's the statistics on Lugia and its BREAK:

Lugia - Colorless, 120 HP

Basic Pokémon

Ability: Pressure
When this Pokémon is your Active Pokémon, damage done to this Pokémon by your opponent’s Pokémon’s attacks is reduced by 20.

[C][C][C] Rising Burn: 60+ damage

If your opponent’s Active Pokémon is a Pokémon-EX, this attack does 60 more damage.

Weakness: Lightning (x2)
Resistance: Fighting (-20)
Retreat: 2

Lugia BREAK - Colorless, 150 HP

BREAK Pokémon - Evolves from Lugia

Lugia BREAK retains the attacks, Abilities, Weakness, Resistance, and Retreat Cost of its previous Evolution.

[C][C][C][C] Destructive Wave: 150 damage

Discard 2 Energy attached to this Pokémon.

Dedenne Break

Miltank Break

:D

 Miltank BREAK, great idea! It should have an Ability called "Golden Udder: Your opponent's active pokemon is now lactose intolerant." :D

Thanks for the info, when is this Lugia being released?

It seems pretty much identical to Bouffalant.... and you are quite right about the Break, that is a truly terrible card and a disgrace to the Lugia name, even the HP is extremely underwhelming. But I guess we can't expect any Lugia card to ever trump it's EX.

almighty Magikarp BREAK!!! haha

Don't see it happening but would love to see Lapras BREAK or EX :)

Magikarp BREAK -

Attack: Super Awesome Amazing Even-More-Epic Splash: 1000 Damage.

(Flip 20 coins, if any of them are tails, this attack does nothing and you must throw Magikarp BREAK in the trash.)

Either a Lapras EX or Break would be amazing, great ideas. Unfortunately there is such an over-saturation of water types coming out lately that it probably won't happen for quite some time.

How about Legendary BREAKs? Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, etc, etc, etc.

Thanks for the info, when is this Lugia being released?

It'll be a part of the next set, Fates Collide, which is apparently set to be released on May 4.

(I knew those BREAK puns couldn't last long.)
