Lucario/Garbodor

So far this deck seems pretty good. I think Lucario is the perfect partner for Garbodor because Korrina makes it easy to get garbodor out quickly. A typical opening is Lucario up front, then Korrina for Level Ball.

You mean Garbodor/Garchomp? You could run Garchomp in this deck. In fact I might once I get enough Garchomps, but evolving Garchomp takes away from the effort to quickly evolve Garbodor. That's why everything else is a basic, because I want to make sure I can evolve Garbodor as quickly as possible AND get a tool on.

But that's why Garbodor makes so much sense in a Fighting deck IMO, because Korrina really helps getting Garbodor out quickly. The good thing about running Garchomp, though, is it would provide a much better answer to Regice.

For me there are a few cards in this deck that are up for debate, those being:

Jirachi

Wally

Team Flare Grunt

I think I'm definitely taking Wally out. I can hardly think of any scenarios other than a super-lucky perfect first turn hand where it would make sense to play Wally over Korrina.

Team Flare Grunt? Meh. Lucario doesn't have great OHKO power, so maybe it makes sense. But I do wonder, what's better, TFG or a Trainer's Mail?

Same with Jirachi.

I'm leaning toward taking out Wally and TFG to put in 2 Trainer's Mail instead, which should speed up the process of getting Garbodor fully operational.

To run this with Garchomp I think I'd take out Hawlucha, Landorus, and Jirachi, as well as Wally, TFG, PCL, and Judge, then put in 2X1X2 Garchomp, with 2 Rare Candy and 2 Trainer's Mail.

But Lucario really is key to this deck because without Shaymin or Octillery, you need Lucario for the draw power.

I'm collecting for 4-2-4 Garchomp 2 Lucario EX 2-2 Garbodor 2 Muscle Band 2 Focus Sash 2 Float Stone.  Going to include 2 Wally, 4 Battle Compressor, 4 VS Seeker.  Hopefully turn 1 Wally Garbodor and turn 2 Korrina for Garchomp Rare Candy.  Lucario EX simply provides a useful starter, might include 2 Hawlucha since that is also a very good starting pokemon (free retreat good focus sash synergy low attack cost)  I could run 4 Wally, but Battle Compressor VS Seeker should make it happen enough.

I lke 4 Lucario and 2 Garchomp because it increases the chance to lead off with Lucario, which is good IMO.

Here is what I'm using now, but honestly I'm not as excited about this deck as I was mainly because the time it takes to get Garbo out is problematic. The deck still does pretty well. I did lose to a Night March deck though because I didn't get Garbo operational until turn 3 and by then they were totally setup.

That's the problem. Yeah, Garbo shuts down all abilities, but the most critical time to shut down abilities is turn 1 & 2. There are a few possible things to do about this.

#1 Run Silent Lab instead of Fighting Stadium. The problem with this is that your stadium can get replaced and then once you get Garbo up the stadium is a waste.

#2 Run 4 Wobbuffet. Not really wild about this idea.

#3 Do nothing and just accept that it is what it is.

I think it's worth considering Silent Lab.
