Please consider us more casual players for a change

I think the title says it all.  I am very thankful for all the freebies and positive changes made in this game, but there has to be something done in the relentless grinding of this game.  I work a job where I work a minimum of 55 hours a week, and two weeks a month I work 66 hours.  I love to play this game, and barely finish the VS ladder each time around, and sometimes I don't finish it.  I have spent money on cards, though I play online more than in real life.  And now, there is a challenge of winning 50 matches in 4 days.  Really?

I truly appreciate all the extra challenges you provide, like the thoughtful M Gengar challenge at Halloween, but some of us need either more time or slimmer tasks to be able to compete with the people who play longer in this game than I spend at work.  Truly!!!

I will very likely not finishing the bonus booster pack challenge which ends in a little over a day, and I am barely going to squeak out the VS ladder MAYBE.  I, and others in a similar situation as me, have made countless suggestions for tweaking the game so it at least gives us a chance vs. those who have no time constraints.

I do try my best to defend the mods and devs of this game, but the continuing ignorant attitude towards we who spend the money which pays all of you (who get paid) is souring my attitude towards the overall staff.  Can we finally have a little love please?

As someone who barely finishes the VS ladder ( usually due to a lack of time / motivation) I can somewhat understand your point, but then again I get the feeling that the reward we are talking about is so slim that it barely makes a difference.

Lets be real, winning 50 games in 4/5 days was quite a stretch ( I only managed it because tournaments would count as well and I was grinding them for BP packs anyway), but the reward for doing so was so small, that you have no base to complain should you not be able or willing to complete this challenge.

In the other thread considering this topic there was also the point that those are “challenges”, hence by its nature it's not supposed to be easy. Whether or not this justifies 50 wins is a different matter of discussion, but considering how much the game hands out for free, I personally think that a difficult challenge once in a while doesn't hurt any kind of player, especially if the reward is literally worthless.

I also don't get your last point.

First of all, spending money ( either on real packs, or on code cards) is usually used to avoid hour-long grind sessions, so I doubt that people who have spend a lot of cash onto the game care much about getting a free holo chest or not.

On a second note, we should be thankful that the stuff actually hands out so much for free ( given that time spend on the game doesn't cost you anything, except time), as the cliff between the “pay 2 win” user, who doesn't really exist in my opinion and the “casual” user is very narrow and usually only manifests itself in the form cosmetic changes (i.e. FA Pokemon, SR Trainer, etc).

Lastly you can't really expect to spend zero money on a game and then expect some kind of special treatment, just imagine some potential client of yours telling you “well so far I haven't paid you for your work, but I never the less feel that you should devote some of your attention to me, because of reasons.

Really? I don't spend tons of money, and I have little time.  Did you not read that in my post?  Why would I make this point if I was dropping serious coin on the game?

I like a challenge, and my previous posts reflect this.  However, also as I said, there have been countless posts which could remedy the need to grind for hours daily.  I only ask the challenges to be attainable, not easy.

Did you miss where I stated I AM thankful for the freebies?

Another thing which you refer to which I said the opposite.  And I am not seeking special treatment, if you have forgotten already, the VS ladder used to be only 760 points.  Your example is not valid here, as I said that I DO spend money, just not tons like some players do.  Did you even try to understand what I wrote?

Thank you for addressing my statements, but I feel you did not grasp my point of this thread, so I responded to your points individually.

While I do think that 50 wins might have been too much, considering the reward was just 1 holo chest... I mean, don't get me wrong, holo chests are awesome, but if I hadn't been able to get it I honestly wouldn't have cared. The only reason I even went for it is because I have way, waaaay to much free time in my hands right now xd But otherwise I wouldn't have even bothered.

Pokemon is a brand, a company. A company makes money when there are people who needs/uses its services. These daily challenges are designed to make you go online everyday for as long as possible so you consume pokemon. Using daily challenges also creates a pattern in your brain that somehow ends up in some sort of addiction. Rinse and start all over again.

And it is completely fine, in exchange we get hours of entertainment, some adrenaline rush, joy, sometimes sadness...

All I wanted to say is that you decide what is too much. If you think a challenge that makes you stay on your computer for 5 hours straight is too much then don't do it. If you have the time then go for it. After all it's only a game
