[GAME] Chat - Non-standard text in chat forces crash

I made the client force crash by typing Ctrl + Backspace into chat. I can repeat this crash in a variety of cases.

 

I know in Notepad that usually makes that rectangle symbol, so I assume the client doesn't know how to interpret this and just stops working.

New but similar bug today. Typing the space bar after a character in the search bar for public trades crashes my game.

from private messaging to random matchups in versus, from what ive experienced just recently. I use a windows version of the game in case you need details.

We have been unable to reproduce this issue. If you are continuing to experience this, we would appreciate if you could submit a support ticket containing a summary of your system specs (obtainable via DxDiag for PC) and any crash reports you may be receiving.

as for the spaces i can confirm. after the game crashes and i go to chat and use space it will crash in public chats. as for ctrl-bksp that should be a backspace complete as if you selected the whole word and deleted. so it should show no symbol or anything. its like ultra delete.
 

ok then notepad itself doesnt register that command. its a command.

if i would to hit ctrl-bkspace everything i just typed would be gone in about a few seconds. ctrl-bksp removes words not letters
