Version 2.33 Patch Notes



  • Refinements for gameplay controls and animations!



  • Adjusted the logic and timing for the card reminder animation to make it feel more relevant and less intrusive.
  • Adjusted the size of cards in the Prize, Bench, deck, and discard areas so that they are more consistent with the size of the Active Pokémon.
  • Animations for actions that affect multiple targets now consistently occur simultaneously, rather than sequentially.
  • Damage counters and Special Condition markers on a Pokémon are now always displayed while the card is zoomed.
  • A card must now be moused over for a longer period of time before it is zoomed.
  • Improved the visibility of damage counters on the opponent’s Pokémon.
  • Pile zoom controls for the iPad client have been changed from touch and hold to double-tap.
  • Reduced the delay between the completion of an animation and the ability to select another action.
  • Reduced the duration of animations for moving cards between game zones.
  • Reduced the duration of the Evolution animation.
  • Reduced the visual intensity of animations for coin flips at the beginning of a match and for Special Condition effects.
  • Selection prompts for cards in play should no longer appear if only one valid selection is available.
  • Unselected cards in a selection popup now remain visible after all valid selections have been made.


  • Added an option for simplified animations to improve game performance for users with lower-end devices.



  • All cards from the XY—Ancient Origins expansion should now appear with the correct art in the French and Russian game clients.
  • Effects that activate when a Pokémon is Knocked Out are no longer improperly negated by Abilities that increase attack damage.
  • The animation for an attack with a “push” effect (moving the opponent’s Active Pokémon to the Bench) now properly plays on the affected Active Pokémon.
  • Champions Festival (Black Star Promo, BW95, XY27, XY91): The Match Results window no longer credits this card’s owner for healing done by the opponent using this card’s effect.
  • Exp. Share (XY—Primal Clash, 128/160): The text in the effect description window now matches the card’s text.
  • Goodra (XY—Flashfire, 74/106): Prompt text is now properly present when the Gooey Regeneration Ability is used.
  • Groudon-EX (XY—Primal Clash, 85/160, 150/160): The Rip Claw attack should now resolve properly.
  • Latios-EX (XY—Roaring Skies, 58/108, 101/108): The Light Pulse attack no longer incorrectly prevents the effects of Abilities.
  • Mew Prime (HS—Triumphant, 97/102): The Lost Link Poké-Body can no longer copy attacks on Pokémon BREAK cards in the Lost Zone.
  • Noivern (XY—BREAKthrough, 112/162): The shuffle animation now properly plays when the Tuning attack is used.
  • Parallel City (XY—BREAKthrough, 145/162): The direction selected when Parallel City is put into play is now consistently displayed while it is on the playmat or zoomed.


  • Actions that cause a player’s hand to be shuffled into the deck and a new hand to be drawn now properly include a confirmation popup if the action would result in a smaller hand.
  • An unnecessary prompt no longer appears if a “push” effect from an opponent’s attack is negated.
  • Corrected several incorrect game prompts throughout the Tutorial.
  • Multi-selection actions are now properly processed when using a touchscreen PC device.
  • The mulligan process now properly matches the Pokémon TCG rules.
  • Resolved an issue that occasionally caused the opening coin flip animation to display longer than intended.
  • Resolved an issue that occasionally caused the Overall Wins stat on a theme deck to reset after using it in a Versus match.
  • Using a Poké-Power or Ability before attaching an Energy card no longer causes an unnecessary reminder popup to appear.
  • Zooming a Pokémon LEGEND card in play now properly displays both halves of the card.


  • Searching by attack name should now return more consistent results.


  • Pokémon BREAK cards now properly appear in the Deck Wizard.
  • Resolved an issue that occasionally prevented the game client from properly progressing through the Deck Manager tutorial.
  • Resolved an issue that prevented some basic Energy cards from being included in an exported deck list.


  • Resolved an issue that infrequently caused pending public offers to expire early but appear as Completed without a partner in the creator’s trade history.
  • The “I Am Getting” and “I Am Giving” filter options should now properly apply to the list of Public Offers.



  • Clicking the Start QR Reader button no longer disables the field for manually entering codes.


  • Receiving a notification while opening a product no longer causes that notification to remain stuck on screen.
