Gengar-EX / Wob / Bats....

I've been trying various Gengar-EX decks, largely because Gengar-EX is pretty good against Mega Mewtwo. 

 

I've been trying Gengar-EX/ Bats/Shaymin-EX, Gengar-EX/Wobbuffet, Gengar-EX/Wobbuffet/Bats.

 

I run 3 Gengar-EX and 1 Mega Gengar in each deck.

 

For me, Gengar-EX/Wobbuffet just isn't good enough. 

 

I'd like to run Gengar/Wobbuffet/Bats, but I can't ever make it work. The problem is that once I put in 4 Wob and 3X3X2 bats, there is not much room left for anything else and my draw support is horrible. 

 

I think in my last attempt I ran 1 Sycamrore, 2 Shauna, and 3 Tierno, with 4 VS Seeker. So many times I just end up sitting there top decking. 

 

Genegar/Bats/Shaymin is pretty good and I use the Shaymin as attackers so they cycle a lot and really help with the draw, but it doesn't have the advantage of Wob to slow down people's setup.

 

So does anyone have a good way of running Gengar-EX/Wobbuffet/Bats?

Thanks Brendan, that did help. I gotta see what the heck I have in my deck. How does that deck do BTW? I'm running 1 Mega Gengar in mine (with 2 Spirit Links). No Scoop ups?

 

Yeah, I have a deck that runs 3X3 Mega Mewtwo and 1X1 Mega Gengar. It's actually pretty good.

It does really well, if you want scoop ups I'd replace the acro bikes

I haven't tested online yet, but I just placed first at a league challenge and am 31-0 with Gengar/Wobbuffet, straight annoyance deck. Only pokemon are 4 Wobbuffet and 3 Gengar, and lots of head ringer, crushing hammer and the sorts. Amazing deck, I can provide my list if you like.

Why are you running Shaymin with Wobbuffet?

 

Your goal should be (imho) to have wobbuffet in active as much as possible, using dark corridor to retreat gengar to the bench and keep him safe.

 

Set up is not going to work with wobbuffet in active.

 

 

Also, I dont really think that M gengar is warranted, just taking up space along with spirit links.

 

In order to supplement draw power Id replace those with Farewell Letter unowns, that gives you an edge being able to use a psychic ability.

 

and while were on the topic, there are way to many benefits and other people with 3-4 lines of stadiums for you to not be running at LEAST 3 dimension valley.

Yeah, Shaymin and Wob together is weird. I think running 1 Mega Gengar is worth it though because of Mega Mewtwo and to a lesser extent Hoopa. Mega Mewtwo is growing in popularity and has a powerful attack that is easy to copy, and since Gengar isn't weak to Psychic, but Mewtwo is, it means Mega Gengar can easily 1 shot Mewtwo using their own attack but not visa versa. 

 

Mega Manectric and Mega Glalie are also popular and have good attacks to copy, and like I said, more people are running Hoopa now, and Hoopa's attack can be quite powerful to copy and Mega Rayquaza isn't bad either. But the main thing is Mega Mewtwo. Mega Gengar owns Mega Mewtwo.
