[PC] Other - Files of game take too much place on the SSD hard drive.

Files of game take too much place in the AppData folder (section Unity/webplayer/Cash). Their size already more than 2 GB though I only started playing. It is a problem as I use the hard drive SSD. Question: What sizes the folder can reach? How it is possible to avoid a disk contamination? Sorry for my badly english.

Thanks for information. Whether it is possible to transfer safely these files to other hard drive without movement of the AppDate folder?

Yes it can be done. it requires remapping the directory in windows. I am at work right now and will look into it later. I think I saw the answer on the unity website. Unity is the program that the game is made with.

Edit:  You will need to look into MKLINK.  It is done in command prompt. I have not done this myself so you will need to research a bit.

use NTFS junctions to do this:

  1. mklink /J C:\Users\username\LocalLow\Unity\WebPlayer\Cache D:\where\you\want\to\put\this\Cache
  2.

Remember to move the cache contents over to the new location if you don't want to download it again.

I personally would recommend uninstalling the game, then reinstalling it to the drive and folder of your choosing.

Moderator Elderberry, will reinstallling the game change the data directory as well?

I'm pretty sure that the last time I tried this it only changed the install directory of the main program.

I don't remember the option to relocate the data files.

That is a really great question. I suggest that you send a ticket into the support team, they might be in a better position to answer that. To submit a ticket, simply click the link in my signature, sign in, and click "Ask a Question".
