EX-tins. Where are the decks playable?

Hello! I noticed there are some metal EX-tins that comes with a kind of theme deck focused on the EX. Are those decks playable in Trainer Challenge and/or Versus/tournaments? Would be good to know that as it is the main thing that makes up the decission for me to buy them or not.

The EX tin decks are *NOT* playable in the theme deck format or trainer challenge mode.

They are playable in Standard though. At least the Kyogre and Groudon EX Tins are.

Those are just gimmick decks about the pokemon, there are: Groudon, Kyogre, Sceptile, Blaziken, Swampert, Rayquaza, Latios and Hoopa, the decks themselves aren't theme but are standard and to be honest are quite bad ....

So really the decks are good in that they add those cards and some EX's to your collection, so you can freely use those cards to make better decks. I doubt that the premade deck the code gives you could possibly be any good in standard mode.

Yes those decks are similar to theme deck, as in mostly Bad, and as you said they're only good for adding some cards you can use with other decks

That was what I was worried about. :/ Oh well. That makes some bucks less to spend in my collection of all old online themedecks I have missed!

Well those Tins are only good to get the respective EX imo, they many not be good exs but for collection's sake .... and some of them have some nice cards as well
