Ruling Question. Damage Change vs. Focus Sash?

How does Mewtwo's Damage Change attack work if it would KO a Pokemon with Focus Sash?

I know Cobalion's Steel Bullet attack and Tyrantrum's Despotic Fang ability don't get through Focus Sash. But Focus Sash says "knocked out by damage", I'm not sure if moving damage counters qualifies as dealing damage...

That's actually an interesting question, Imo the same happens as in the defending pokemon is left with 10 hp but i don't know for sure until i test it

It's placing damage counters, not dealing damage, so it should circumvent it?

For anyone wondering, it does get through Focus Sash. Just confirmed by a judge.

on the same note of focus sashes, garchomp+ altaria shouldn't get through right? because i have a thread in bug reports on garchomp's mach cut attack +40 dmg from altaria ohkoing a sashed undamaged medicham

Altaria just increases damage, so Focus Sash should stop Garchomp.
