Jirachi Promo XY 67 Nearly Impossible to get.

Hello,

 

Now that the one week Jirachi blister pack shop rotation has ended, it is practically impossible to get a very competitive card that is now being played in a lot of competitive decks.  While it isn't really a "bug",  It is a problem that must be fixed.  I am a competitive player and i use the online game to practice for high leveled events.  I couldn't get Jirachi XY 67 when it was at the shop and now I can't get one because they are locked and there for people couldn't trade one to me.  The people that used gems to get an unlocked version of the card are taking advantage of the fact that many players can't get it and are putting high prices on it (about 80-120 packs).  I know that I and many other people are upset that we can't the highly competitive card.  The blister pack containing it should be brought back to the shop or it should be a reward.  I love the Trading Card Game Online, but if I can't practice with this card, I and many other competitive players may not be able to use the online game to practice for high leveled events.  The game is kind of broken now and the card must be available to get again for it to be fixed.

 

I really hope this problem will be fixed soon.

To be fair, the bundle did last longer than the usual duration. If I remember correctly, this bundle was released on the same day as the update was launched so from the 4th November to the 18th November, two weeks.

 

I disagree with the idea that it should be a reward. If players who paid in tokens or gems during the promotion and it was released as a reward, for free, then it's quite unfair for those who paid for them.

 

As you may already heard from other users, these promotions come and go and some may reappear in the future.

Even still, now that the world knows the competitive value of the card, it should be brought back so players that weren't looking for it before have the option to acquire it now. Not for free as a reward, but for the same price (200 coins) it was before.     Pokemon should save the limited promotions  and extreme rarities for chase cards, alternative art, Full art, Secret Rare, etc...   Staple, competitive cards should always have an affordable, available option while they are still in rotation, regular rare at most.

What's the big deal with this JIrachi card anyway? I mean I got one, but use it only as a 1 of in one Mega Rayquaza deck, but honestly, I'm not sure it's really better than an Enhanced Hammer. So what are people are saying is so great about this?

200 coins was much? i fought really hard to get 1800 to buy 3 3-pack+promo darkrai blister, the jirachi one was pretty easy to get 3. and like ElRazey said it was a 2 week offer, so even if you arent a competitive player, must bought one as a collector at least.

boy, you cant play hammers against toad or trevenant lock, thats the reason of the hype, even for toad mirror is great

Yeah, but you can play Xerosic or TFG. I mean, yeah, its good. I had been playing Buffalont (the energy discard one) in a few decks prior to Jirachi for the same reason. Jirachi is better since it only takes 1 energy, but really, Toad and Trev aren't that great anymore anyway.

 

Well whatever. I think its a good card, but I don't see why it's SO hyped. I play it in my MRay deck mainly to counter Giratina since I need more bench sitters anyway. I haven't played against Toad in so long I don't even know what the card does against Toad. 

 

Does it prevent the effect of Quaking Punch?

 

The text says: "Discard a Special Energy attached to your opponent's Active Pokémon. If you do, prevent all effects of attacks, including damage, done to this Pokémon during your opponent's next turn."

 

But the item lock effect isn't "done to this pokemon". If it stops the item lock on the next turn no matter what then its definitely a better card. If not, then it's just ok.

of course it dont break the lock, but gives you time to manually set up.

will not be that played, but for sure it will make itself a place in the meta

One other thing....if they could make the items in the shop enlarge when you click them or have descriptions of what you are getting it would help.  I see the promos but often dont purchase because I have no idea what they do... inb4 and yeah I am too lazy to open another window to search the ..also shuppet has similar attack but jirachi better because attack cost colorless (not psychic as with shuppet) and no damage following attack.

Want to reinforce: this is a meta-defining card, it's going to be a staple in the game. 

 

To make PTCGO useful for competitive players, it's important that they can get all the competitive cards. Not being able to get this Jirachi hurts them quite a bit.

i got one jirachi from the original promo just in case it was usefull (i did see some potential at first glance). i've bought the other three from the second release :3.

 

​now i want to see more older packs like the 3 plasma freeze... but now having tokens to use :S.

There are a lot of things that need to come back to the shop and I agree, jirachi is one of them but , like mentioned above, it was in there for more then ample time for anyone to get their hands on a locked set of 4.....infact i goofed and bought 5 locked  

 

Like I mentioned in a previous thread, the promo kyogre and groudon where in the shop exceedingly short due to a error in the tokens giving the "Set" cards and not the actual promos ..... on top of that there is many cards people would love to get back not just this one.

Honestly, if they wanted to REALLY make it cheaper to get the Jirachi....

Just throw it on the bonus wheel for a week, then trade prices will get competitive enough that people actually have a chance to get it at a fair price....
