Red Mega Mewtwo vs Mega Gardevior

These two pokemon are very similar in how they work, to the point that one could argue that Red Mega Mewtwo simply makes Mega Gardevior obsolete.

The two advantages Mega Gardevior has over Mega Mewtwo are that 1) it can hit for weakness, and 2) you don't have to put all of your energy at risk when you attack with it.

But, on the flip side Mega Gardevior is slower because you have to supply all of the energy yourself, whereas with Mega Mewtwo the opponent is supplying some of the energy.

So is there any real case to be made for Mega Gardevior anymore, or if you have a Mega Gardevior deck is the best thing to do to simply swap out Mega Gardevior for Red Mega Mewtwo?

Mega Gardevoir hits for fairy weakness, like you said. It can also get energy onto the field faster too. I think they are different enough to warrant specific uses. I do think that Redtwo is the better overall Mega.

M Gardevoir doesn't have to have all the energy attached.  That's a pretty significant difference.  The difference between Rayquaza EX Dragons Exalted and say Camerupt EX. PRC.  You have to commit energy to redtwo, whereas you're preserving some with Gardevoir in case you get KO'd the following turn.  In Redtwo vs Gardevoir, presuming M Gardevoir has 3 fairy energies, Redtwo must have . . . 4 energies. hmm. . . M Gardevoir must have 7 energies on the field. Turn 3, I think, Turn 2 would be nearly impossible.  Whereas, alone, Mewtwo on Turn 2 could be swinging for 130.
