Cards [CARD] Liepard (Phantom Forces #57) - This Pokémon received full damage after using the Gentle Bite attack

I was playing a match with Liepard from Phantom Forces. My opponent had a Diglett, which he evolved into a Dugtrio. I used Gentle **** the turn before, so I expected to take 60 less damage. However, full damage was dealt and I lost the match as a result. I believe this is a bug because Liepard's Gentle **** attack states "During your opponent's next turn, any damage done by attacks from the defending Pokemon is reduced by 60 (before applying Weakness and Resistance)" Since Dugtrio was still technically the defending Pokemon, but had just evolved, Liepard's Gentle **** attack should have reduced the damage. However, I'm not 100% sure if this is a bug or not. Please respond.

 

Also, sorry about the censors. I don't know why the second word in the name of the attack is blocked. If you have the Liepard, you should know what attack I'm talking about.

This is not a bug.  Liepard's attack affected Diglett.  When it evolved into Dugtrio, that effect was removed.
