Articuno vs Simisage

Just had a tourney finals where my opponent was using Articuno (Find Ice) and I had Simisage. He used his Find Ice first, then I was able to evolve Pansage and Torment it. Three turns later, he's got 4 energy, so I Torment his 100 damage move, forcing him to go back to Find Ice. After a couple more Find Ice, I've stalled long enough to get Quiladdin at (G)(G)(CC) and a Chesnaught in my hand. I force him to kill my Simisage.

 

Now, I'm down 6-5 and my opponent has about 20 cards in his hand. I end up evolving both Chesnaught and Shiftry, then I play... Ace Trainer!

 

I laughed soooo hard, and my opponent conceded like 10 seconds after that.

Yeah, I'm really liking XY Green in Theme Tournaments. I've gone about 5 and 1 in first place with XY Green. I pretty much try to lead off with either Pansage or Seedot and draw cards or fill up the bench until I can evolve either Shiftry or Chesnaught. I try to go for Shrifty first for the draw power, but if the Chesnaught line happens easier to evolve then I'll go for that. 

Still, the fire decks are a pretty hard counter, so I think its pretty well balanced in that regard, unlike XY Blue used to be.
