Ok so i have not played pokemon or trading card in like 6 years or so, last cards i had being the pokemon ruby&sapphire version.

 

For somereason i got the urge to play again and i happen to have bought a toxic tricks deck. Obviously I don't know nothing about the new pokemon but that is beside the point.

 

 

 

Now from what i remember last in the ex ruby&sapphire are that there where ex pokemon, which were better then rare pokemon.

 

What I wish to know are questions such as do ex pokemon still come out? If not what are there instead and what is the symbol, these kind of questions is what I'm trying to find out, anything you can say would be of much help.

Well there are primes now that are generally more powerful or tricky than their normal counterparts. They don't have prime written on them but their picture is frayed on the edges like the pokemon is coming out of the card. Those are in the HGSS sets.
