What do Tokens do?

This may have been already answered, but I could not easily find a topic relating to it.

 

What do I use tokens for? I have 51 and I don't know how to use them, or where to use them.

 

Hopefully someone can alleviate my confusion.

They are used on the main pokemon site, www.pokemon.com, to buy outfits and backgrounds for your trainer.

that has been the dream since day one, but if that were to happen then no one would be buying the packs in the stores, which was the whole goal of this online thingy.

maybe not get cards directly, but get chances to earn at least common and uncommon cards so that there is still a reason top buy packs for the more rare cards!or even have like promo trades for them!nobody really cares about the tockens if they do not provide much for the trading card game community!they just feel pointless!
