Version 2.31

  • Annual Play! Pokémon format rotation!
  • New versions of the Basic Green, Basic Red, and Basic Blue theme decks!

  • The annual Play! Pokémon format rotation has been implemented.
    • Standard format: Standard format decks may only contain cards from the XY—Kalos Starter Set expansion onward, Black Star Promos numbered XY01 and higher, and cards from older expansions that have been reprinted in a Standard-legal expansion.
    • Expanded format: No change.
    • Unlimited format: No change.
  • All players now receive the XY: Basic Green, XY: Basic Red, and XY: Basic Blue theme decks upon logging in to the game for the first time. The BW: Basic Green, BW: Basic Red, and BW: Basic Blue theme decks are no longer available to new players.

  • AI opponents in the Trainer Challenge have built new decks featuring cards from the XY Series.

  • Friend requests can now be sent from the Match Results window.

  • Added attribute filters for Pokémon Prime, Secret Rare, and Shiny.

  • Effects that allow a Pokémon to evolve on the turn it comes into play are no longer disabled when that Pokémon is moved from the Active spot to the Bench.
  • Resolved an issue that occasionally prevented the discard pile from being viewed.
  • Devolution Spray (Black & White—Dragons Exalted, 113/124): This card no longer prevents effects that allow a Pokémon to evolve on the turn it comes into play.
  • Escape Rope (XY—Primal Clash, 127/160): An opponent’s Active Pokémon with the Omega Barrier Ancient Trait now correctly negates the effect of Escape Rope on itself, rather than preventing the card from being played at all.
  • Gardevoir (XY—Ancient Origins, 54/98): The Bright Heal Ability can no longer be used without effect.
  • Hypno (XY—Furious Fists, 36/111): Improved game logic for Supporter cards played as an effect of the Hand Control attack.

  • Latios-EX (XY—Roaring Skies, 58/108): The Light Pulse attack no longer prevents effects done to Latios-EX during the opponent’s next turn that are not caused by the opponent’s attacks.
  • Machamp-EX (XY—Ancient Origins, 37/98): The Crazy Hammer attack now consistently does the correct amount of damage when Machamp-EX is not affected by a Special Condition.
  • Malamar (Black Star Promo, XY58): The Contrary Ability no longer affects coins flipped between turns.
  • Milotic (XY—Flashfire, 23/106): The Energy Grace Ability now functions properly.

  • Shaymin-EX (XY—Roaring Skies, 77/108): Playing Shaymin-EX onto the Bench can no longer be undone if the Set Up Ability has been blocked by another effect.
  • Wally (XY—Roaring Skies, 94/108): This card can now be used to evolve a Pokémon with an effect that allows it to evolve on the turn it comes into play.
