[CARD] Exp. Share (Next Destinies #87, Dragon Vault #18, Primal Clash #128) - This card doesn't always transfer Energy

Recommended Posts

If the active Pokémon gets knocked out by damage from a Pokémon it has a weakness to, Exp. Share doesn't trigger at all.

Example used in testing: Dunsparce (XY #101) with a Basic Fighting Energy attached to it gets knocked out by Meditite (#Primal Clash 79) and then by Machop (#Furious Fists 44), and then by Meditite again. A Hoothoot (Plasma Freeze #91) was on the bench with an Exp. Share (Dragon Vault #18) attached to it each time these knock outs happened. The basic energy get discarded alongside the Dunsparce all three times, without a chance to activate the Exp. Share on the benched Hoothoot.

Card: Exp. Share

Card Number: Primal Clash #128, Dragon Vault #18, Next Destinies #87

Expected Action: When the active Pokémon gets knocked out by damage from an attack, a basic energy card attached to it can be attached to a benched Pokémon that has Exp. Share attached to it instead of discarding it.

Actual Action: If the active Pokémon gets knocked out by damage it has a Weakness to, all energy attached to it get discarded without a chance to use Exp. Share to preserve the energy

Steps to Reproduce: Have a Basic Energy card attached to an active Pokémon that has a Weakness, have a banched Pokémon with Exp. Share attached to it, have the active Pokémon knocked out by a Pokémon of the type it has a Weakness to.

EDIT: The bug isn't limited to this, it's only one out of many and seemingly random cases where it appears. Just now, Articuno (Water) used Tri-Edge and flipped 3 Heads with a Muscle Band to knock out Regirock (weak to Grass) and Exp. Share attached to a benched Regirock didn't work.

Hi Aisor!

As this appears to be random as you've stated, it would be incredibly helpful if you could grab a game log next time you experience this. You can save the game log from your match by clicking the Social Menu, clicking the Game Log tab, and clicking "Export". This will copy it to your Clipboard where you can paste it into a .txt file. Please send that to us via a support ticket as and attachment. You can create a ticket by clicking the link in my signature, signing in, and clicking "Ask a Question".

Thanks for your report and your patience!
