In my version of the Sonic Boom deck, I use Hydreigon-Ex to enable free retreats for my Dragon-type attackers. I definitely like it more than Floatstone, as in a pinch, the Shred attack can be quite useful. I don't use Pokemon Fan Club, but if you did, there would be at least some synergy with Hydreigon-Ex, as well.

I'm not really sure what to take out but the bronzong line NEEDS to be beefed up. 1-1 wont help much.

Also I would replace the wally's with rare candies because it will allow you to get up klingklang just as fast and by only using an item card. Throw in another ultra ball and thats about all I can suggest.

The main point in this deck is to stop exs from attacking, the 1-1 line of bronzong is kept just to add a bit of consistensy to the deck.

It was just announced that regionals in the U.S. (at least the first one) will be completely expanded format.

With Trump Card out of the way I wonder if a devour deck like this can do well...maybe if someone can efficiently incorporate Bunnelby or Ninjask maybe?

I think Vespiquen AOR will be a beast next year.  Level Ball searches out our 90HP friend, and it has free retreat as well, but also Unown being able to provide draw support and a pokemon in the discard.  I definitely am looking forward to this card.

I'm pretty excited for n to rotate out

Just wait until regionals next year when u get hit by a Exeggcutor/Vileplume deck in expanded on DAY 1.  Then, u can be excited.

Well truly vespiqueen is much more OP than Flareon coz of your above stated facts and with Giant Plant Forest any player can evolve upto 3-4 vespiqueen on turn 1 if supported by good card draws . Along with battle compressor and unown will also speed up vespiqueen decks alongside blocking opponent using ability vileplume.

N is too bad for the winning player though coz using N leave the winning player on a verge of losing the game if supporter less draws affects him/her. N will go from standard but expanded will be still affected by N's shuffling tricks . And exeggutor vileplume is just a prediction coz no one knows how this deck will impact the winning and losing player . 10 damage per turn is too bad and heavy damage attacker's like mewtwo and yveltal will badly affect this grass deck :( .
