Limit Player's Turn Timing

Hi there,

 

I don't know if this happens in real life or not but in-game it is really getting very vex . Players intentionaly try to make me wait in a hope that i will concede and they will get a win . Not only this when my opponent is going to lose so he tries to use cammie timer to waste my time along with his . I want a timer which can limit a player'r turn in which he can play as many cards for 2 minutes then his turn will automatically end . I have been watching matches being extended to 15-18 minutes coz of misuse of cammie timer.

I surely do understand what you are trying to speak. But some intense matches take 5 minutes for a single turn. Noticed this often in Tournament when actually both players are down to one minute and lose simply because they took more time to think. People do need time to think. So 2 minutes would be too less. I suggest atleast 5 minutes should be fine.

I have not seen people using cammie to that extent in game.. but I do notice that around 70+ % of people get at least one cammie timer before making a move.. anyone else notice that?

Yeah that is also one of the problems that i have seen with players . They take 60-120 seconds to set-up and then wait for 45 secs to wait for cammie and then resume the game when it reaches to 5-10 seconds and then wait for another 30-40 seconds to end turn wasting almost 3-4 minutes in 1 turn and sometimes they also wait for cammie timer to appear 2-3 times which is really very annoying . And when i ask them to hurry up , then they reply with most insane comments "what will you do if i don't end my turn" or "they use abusive language" . Are these people psychopathic or what , and once in a day i meet atleast one screwball in the game

Thats simply bad Even I have had similar problems Abusive language is worst part of a player. They shouldn't use it. In fact no one should be abusive anytime !

I have experienced stalling many times and at different levels. Worst was during the next destinies tourney weekend. I was down to one prize and about to win on my next turn when my opponent decides to just get even by stalling. CAmmie showed up at least 8 times. And when there were just over a minute left on the match, my opponent decides to continue. So I do understand the frustration of the OP but I don't think customizing the online game with processes not existent in the RL game would be beneficial.

 

Re: abusive language and behavior, I strongly agree that players shouldn't do that but not limited to games. They shouldn't do this during in-game trades either. Badgering someone to accept a trade is not proper at all.

Yea i forgot about that this game is just a exact simulation of real life game but something needs to be done in such stalling cases . I cannot keep complaining about each and every player through reports becuase that is really time consuming . And one more thing mods , please allow us to copy the chat log as well so that i can complain about players who behave inappropriately coz  I am really now fed up of these nefarious players  .

 I do know what the problem here, The winners are getting rewards (Worth like 2 to 3 games) and the losers regardless how they lose getting no gain.

I am not referring to wins and loss here , this topic is completely focused on different aspect of pvp and tourney battles.

I do think that people taking 2 minutes turns is too long. I take maybe 15 seconds at best a turn and so for me seeing people take 2 minutes is annoying. I know certain decks take a longer time but I still wish things could go faster. I think if the creators could better cards time use that would help. I don't understand why it would take more than 15 seconds to decide a move. It seems like people don't know their decks when they take such long turns deciding moves. 

 

As far as cheaters go I only have met one who for over 10 minutes kept putting down an energy and then picking it back up or letting the clock run down and then clicking resume. I got so bored that I minimized the game for a couple of minutes and when I came back I had lost because the clock had started to tick for me which is a bug as it was still the other players turn. 

 

I get bored of games sometimes because of time especially against these decks that use Sky Field and Battle Compressor. These decks I always lose to. I know it is my fault for using a deck that doesn't play well against them but I feel like just conceding already when playing against them. But then they take like 2 minute turns. It is so torturous to know you will lose and then have to wait for them to take turns that are so long.

Well 2 minutes is ok for PVP, but what Aniket asked for was related to all games including Tournaments, right ? Correct me if I am wrong. And I myself have played games when they are so intense especially the finals, where both players come down to last minute. Actually we do take 5 minutes for a turn sometimes, maybe 5 minutes too much, but we atleast take 4 for sure in intense matches... So why not keep it 4-5 ?

Once your rating starts to improve you play less people that try to do that. I experience someone trying to do this 1/100 games and my rating is fairly high. I noticed when I first started climbing the ladder that it felt more like 1/3 games had someone trying to stall to win.

 

I don't think they need to make any changes. People just need to not succumb to the trolls.

okay so the idea to get to a higher level is to spend more time in each battle?

 

let's put this in perspective.. if they had more time to battle, they'd have more practice-> a better deck-> a better rank-> they wouldn't be there in the first place

 

basically we're asking a player with less experience in the game to waste the time he does get in battle to stall a battle he is already winning which restricts the experience he gets from the battle which reduces the chances of him leaving that predicament he's in
