Next Destinies Weekend/Theme Play

What a better way to kick off the weekend than looking forward to a fun special event (Next Destinies Weekend) hosted by the great dev's at PtcgOnlin; where players can compete for cool and unique in-game rewards and other packs and prizes that were available in earlier generations, was a great few days, with many close games played and upsets fought, and what a fun weekend it was. Sadly i never hit the bonus wheel for a pack, even with 200+ wins ^_^

Its motivating to know there are multiple means of earning new cards and other rewards as the game is played through the bonus wheel, daily login challenge and through tournament bracket.

I, like many others im sure are really enjoying these events as summer kicks off. Making earlier Generation theme decks and cards adds a whole new sense of flavor, and tactics to theme and other forms of play, which each player can enjoy in their own way!

the way theme play is progressing with the addition of more decks, from earlier gens, is fantasitic. It also gives newer players a chance to the content that everyone can enjoy and keep on battling. Looking foreward to seeing what other great events, and Gen (1,2,3,4,5,6) ? ;) decks we will see in the future. Thanks, and good day!!

"It also gives newer players a chance to the content that everyone can enjoy"

This I find hilarious.. New players are stuck most of the time..

When new players actually got tokens they either have no tokens to fair trade, don't have tokens to buy new boosters or don't have tokens to play a tournament. Let alone those new, old weak theme decks.

It's the worst moment to play this game for new players and for all others who sit here without tokens..

One day you get all tickets on the wheel and when you actually need tickets you only get coins..

For me personal I had to choose , as me too ran out of tokens..

Either use the tokens to trade, or the tokens to play tournament so I can wait more for the next rounds than I play..

I choose the first one and put every token I grinded into trades, which handed me over 100 NXD boosters..

It's so easy to "rip off" others with unfair trades on public these days..

My experience on the actual tournaments?

Out of the first 6 , 6 ticket! tournament I played I miracle wise had bad draws on atleast 4 of them, getting kicked out of the tournament within a minute. bye bye 24 tickets which you also need to grind a long time for..

Just my rants...

Hi LongChanChan!

Thanks for your positive feedback! We're all glad to hear that you had a good time. :) I'll submit your thoughts to the Dev team and leave this thread open for further discussion.

Let's also make sure that this remains on the topic of the original post. Thanks!

Back to topic now.

I really enjoyed the weekend, as it was fairly easy to rush trough the tournaments (played about 11 or 12, mostly Unlimited) and got some packs via public trade, which ended at about 45ish NXD packs, that eventually lead to the completion of my Unlimited Lost Deck (getting the remaining 3 Mew Prime, 1 Gengar Prime and a bit of small stuff).

Events like these are a great way to add a little more spice into the game and I'm def. looking forward for the next one.

NXD Weekend was great. I really appreciate the opportunity to win older boosters, like Next Destinies. I ran into a ton of Rayquaza Sky Field decks. That's a sick deck and difficult for me to beat, but was fun anyway. I blew through about 40 tickets and won a handful of packs. Time to hit the versus matches again and start saving tickets up for the next special weekend. Boundaries Crossed would be cool.

Was doing some tournament theme battle last night and got to thinking,  Wouldnt it be great for players that finish their matches early to have a spectate option to watch the rest of the games play out, so you dont have to sit there counting sheep while you wait for your next match :D possibly also friend chat feature ingames? :)
