Why do some updates take soo long?

It shouldn't be too hard to reduce the timers on random battle PvP, or put a sound/pop up when a new tournament-round begins..

 

And dozens of more pretty easy to implent updates which people mentioned, so I wonder why does it take sooo long?

There is a lot of work that goes into the development of a game. Some of it is visible to players, but a large amount of it is behind the scenes and includes many different people, tasks, etc. For example, updates must be tested thoroughly before they are released in order to find and eliminate any bugs or other issues. We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding new updates, and I can certainly pass your feedback along to the Dev team.
