Rate the card!

Simple little game, just rate the card the person above you has posted out of 10, 1 being the worst, and 10 being the best, then put a card for the nest person to rate, maybe add a description as to why you gave the rating.

To start off, here's a card that's been causing some grief in the metagame lately:

10 because it just a staple in most decks since it lets you go first (unless there is another sableye) and it can donk and help you set up...what more is there to say about this card?

serperior

HP 120

Attacks: Vine Whip CC 40

Leaf Storm 60 remove 20 damage from each of your L pokemon

A card most of us should know

First of all, good idea! This should spur some good conversation about cards.

I'll rate Sableye 6.5/10. The image itself(if one is thinking of beaty above strength) is iffy, particularly since the cartoony style of Sableye isn't as good as it could be.

Strength-wise, this still isn't the best card. The Pokemon doesn't have much HP, has limited moves, and can't evolve to upgrade itself.

I feel stupid for asking, but why has it been causing grief?

Oh, and here's my card.

I'll give the Charizard a 6/10. Great attack and good power to go with it, but that is a pretty steep energy cost. It would be hard to make those two energies back very quickly. It is doable though, I believe.

And my current deck has a few of those Sableye <img src="http://www.pokemontcg.com/javascripts/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/png/cool_smile.png" alt="" />

Here's mine:

@Cut_Vendetta: 9/10. Excellent starter pokemon. Have a attack with a potential of 40 damage for only 1 energy. He also let you play a second supporter each turn. -1 because if he's facing a starter with an attack of 20+ for 1 energy, he's bound to do only 10 damage.

@Swivee: 6/10. AH Charizard. Was once the rarest and most valuable card as well as the most powerfull. However, the metagame has upgraded and his stats have became subpar for a stage 2. 100 damage for 4 energy and it forces you to discard 2 of them. It just doesnt, cut it anymore.

Edit: Darn Fleetfiend, we have the same card so might as well rate it. 10/10 for me. If you play him after playing Copycat, you've cornered your opponent big time.

Edit: UserFrank ninja'd. - Edit2: And I did rate the Shiftry. Your new card doesn't work anyway.

So his card... It's nice, like the picture and Poké-Body. Very powerful and cool one. I'll give a 7.

I suggest linking the cards from official TCG Database.

This is one of my favorites which isn't overpowered. I got 6 of these.

<strike>Shiftry is an overall awesome looking card, giving it a boost in collectability.</strike>

<strike>The Pokemon itself has pretty good HP, although it could be better for a Stage2 evolution, and it's PokePower is not the best, as it can be good or bad for the user. It's moves are good, but certainly aren't the greatest (again, for a Stage2 Pokemon).</strike>

<strike>All in all, I give Shiftry a 6.5/10, as it can take out some weaker Pokemon, but probably not stronger ones that are also at it's evolution stage. </strike>

Nevermind all that...

Espeon has iffy HP and has okay moves. It's a solid 5.5.

I don't know much about TCG meta, but that Uxie, aside from an astounding Poke-Body, is alright. I mean, it's Power's nice, but it probably won't be boosted by its attack's extra feature unless the battle drags on long enough.

That's a NICE card! Who knew them crazy environmentalists had such great Pokemon? tounge_smile.png

However, Seviper has three flaws:

<ol>

[*]Its HP. All it needs is one 40-damage attack from a Psychic-type, and it's gone.

[*]The Retreat Cost. If the opponent brings out a moderately strong Psychic-type, and you don't have any Switch cards in your hand, you're going to be losing two out of the three Energies that you'll need for its best attack.

[*]The Energy cost for the second attack. Three is awfully pricey, especially when it's your only damaging attack, and only does 20, for goodness sake!

</ol>

Now, despite these problems, this card is pretty good, and I can see how someone could just spam Call for Family with a deck full of Grass-types and Team Aqua's Pokemon. The fact that it has a chance of confusing AND poisoning the opponent, is nice, too!

To be honest I can't make any decent strategies out of that card. Its like a trainer card. I give it a 2.

This is one of my favorites back when I used Team Aqua alot. Very good card in my opinion.

How about this ridiculously overpowered card? (and, no, this one isn't fake, as much as we wish that Stapler of Doom was real!)

charizardex_card.gif

It's old, but still, Great Poke-BODY + OHKO to Wailord ex = Win! tounge_smile.png

It's good for a OHKO, but double weakness, lose 3 energy and it's a EX, wich mean you bring him in,get your ko and your prize, then the opponent have roughly 3 turns to take him down (easily done if striking on his weakness) the collect 2 prize cards. I think his damage is pretty much useless considering you trade 1 prize for 2.

I guess, but I can just imagine someone keeping a Charmander safely tucked away in their deck, then eventually getting it up to this guy, and, after stockpiling all their extra Energy (doesn't matter which type; it becomes Fire, anyway), then, when they're ready...

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: xx-large;">RELEASE THE <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: xx-large;">CHARIZARD!!![/b]

Charizards are NOT useless, nor are any fire types of any sort. All Pokemon are strong... their strength depends on how strong their trainer is. So basicly, if a trainer isnt strong then their Pokemon aren't strong either.teeth_smile.pngBesides, I love my Charizard and all my Pokemon.

I give Charizard a good 10 because of its power and it always is full of suprises in the games.the Charizard that I have is a level X. He's pretty sweet. And he's my partner. He's always been my friend and I'll never trade him to anyone. Not even for a Reshiram. I'll go catch my own. Because I don't need someone else's Reshiram. Why trade a Pokemon that you really love? I know right? It doesn't make any sense. right? I love all Pokemon! Well, I have to go feed my Pokemon. See yah!
