We now know the preliminary details for Japan XY 8 set! Like several sets of the past, XY8 will be divided into two smaller sets: Blue Impact and Red Flash. Blue Impact will feature Mega Mewtwo X while Red Flash will feature Mega Mewtwo Y. Each set will contain at least 59 cards, excluding any secret rares, and will be released in Japan on September 25th.

The image above also touts a “New Development for the XY Series.” It turns out the name of Japan’s next set block will actually be “Pokemon XY: BREAK.” The whole “Break Evolution” keyword we posted the other week might in fact be whatever mechanic the sets are bringing to the TCG (as “Evolution” does not appear on the above image anywhere, meaning it must be the actual mechanic). As such, the full names of the sets are “Pokemon XY BREAK: Blue Impact” and “Pokemon XY BREAK: Red Flash.” Since Emerald Break introduced the whole quick Evolution thing, could it somehow be a hint to what these sets will be bringing?

Also releasing on September 25th are two 12-card packs called “Break Evolution Pack: Raichu Break” and “Break Evolution Pack: Noivern Break.” Their description says “Feel the Break Evolution,” so they’ll obviously be showcasing the new mechanic. Each pack will cost 500 yen.

And of course releasing alongside the set are the usual deck box, card sleeves, and a “Card Box” with 45 Energy cards (five of each), card dividers, and five “special cards.” The Energy cards will feature a brand new design! The card box will be able to fit over 250 sleeved cards and will cost 500 yen.

Hello people,

Competitive debating is a fun activity akin to a game in which we examine ideas and policies with the aim of persuading people within an organised structure. It allows us to consider the world around us by thinking about different arguments, engaging with opposing views and speaking strategically. So we are looking for people who can organise debates and discussions for our readers about the all the upcoming new sets and cards. Anyone interested can drop a  private message here.

Thanks

Aniketdianafury

I will be glad to discuss the new straegies. Just provide me with the information of cards :D

Coming Soon :-  Jumbo M Rayquaza-EX From ‘Ancient Origins’ In ‘Shiny Rayquaza-EX Box’

_________________________________________

We now have information on the Shiny Rayquaza-EX Box .

It’ll feature a jumbo card of a Colorless shiny M Rayquaza-EX with 220 HP (presumably the full art version from Bandit Ring), the Rayquaza-EX promo from the Rayquaza-EX Box but as a shiny, and four booster packs.

The M Rayquaza-EX has a new Ancient Trait called Θ Max: “When 1 of your Pokemon becomes this Pokemon, heal all damage from it.”

Since the Ancient Trait is Theta like other cards from Bandit Ring and shiny M Rayquaza-EX is already confirmed for the set, it’s almost certainly the exact same card. The box will be released in September after the release of Ancient Origins, hence why the product packaging doesn’t list the jumbo as a brand new card.

Now we can say that Primal  Groudon and Primal Kyogre are going to get the exact reprint of the P-Kyogre and P-Groudon from Roaring Skies but they might have theta double or theta stop as their ancient traits .

Coming Soon :-   ‘Mega Latios Collection’ In July

___________________________________________

A new Mega Latios Collection will be released late in July. It will feature a figure of Mega Latios, four booster packs, and a never-before-seen holo card of Latios.

There is no other Latios card currently out in Japan, so this may be an alternate art Latios. The product description just calls the card “Latios,” so we’re not sure if it’ll just be a regular Latios or they’re using shorthand to refer to M Latios-EX.

Coming Soon :-   Malamar, Salamence Promos In ‘Ancient Origins’ Blister Packs!

__________________________________________

The Bandit Ring three-pack blisters will come with promos Malamar and Salamence!

Malamar was a Gym Challenge promo released in Japan this month. Salamence was included in CoroCoro Ichiban magazine.

Even though Salamence’s attack name in Japanese is the same as “Summon Minions” on Dark Dragonite from Team Rocket, TPCi renamed it to “Call for Goons” on Salamence. It’s probably been too long for them to have realized (or cared) to use the same English name. Trivia!
