this is in my opinion your weakest aspect in a great game. I like that you have updated the game and listened to players "rational ideas" thus far, but the chat messenger system needs work.

 

1) i cant tell when my friend is in battle or not, all i see is (online) so communication is very awful at times.

 

2) i cant speak with my friend while they are in a battle neither can they speak with me, this sucks!

 

3) a spectator mode would be sooooooooo awesome you have no idea... lol seriously it would be really nice to be able to spectate random and/or friend battles.

 

i genuinely hope you guys take my ideas into consideration.

 

p.s. i would love a job at your company as well xD <3

Another thing that I would like to see is a way to chat with friends while doing the trainer challenge. The trainer challenge in itself is quite long and tedious to do for a new player, but if that player can chat with a friend it would make the thing much more enjoyable.

With the rising in number of tournaments held by players, i always want the spectator mode is available, at least in unranked game (friend battle) along with watcher chat just like in dn for yugioh. I haven't joined any tournaments of this kind, but i cannot imagine how a final match can be progressed without cheering from the audiences. It must be extremely boring.

point number one I can't emphasize more.. I've had countless experiences with friends when I pop into a battle, and come back out to find 20+ messages including several apologizing to me since they think i'm angry at them now..

 

point two could be taken advantage of by taking advice on stuff you would normally have to do alone in battle- pointing out stuff you don't really notice could be done by one of your expert friends and it could win you battles by saving you from overlooking something as small as a silent lab

 

a spectator mode would be great if the spectator had pre-set chat options only (unlike the ttwo battlers' unrestricted chat) it'd help newer players to analyse strategies of good players in battle- something they might not be able to do themselves- because they get picked of on turn 2, get locked, etc.

 

also i'm not even sure they'd recruit for the pokemon company on a game feedback thread, but I wish you the best of luck nonetheless

you have a point on the spectator mode thing... but come one.. wat r u saying then... only ppl with friends right beside them can get help? i dont think it matters caz ppl are getting help right now frankly speaking their will always be outsider help, so spectator mode wont make much difference

...Or it could be 2 seperate chat boxes, with the exception of friends being unable to message their friend of any misplays. If these were two boxes of which neither could interfere, that would be the best. Seriously, sometimes you might wanna chat with the other spectators.
