[PC] Patching - Refresher stuck at "Please wait while the Refresher is Updated."

When I open the PCTGO program, it becomes stuck at a loading screen that says "Please wait while the refresher is updated. This loading screen never makes any progress. If I click on refresher.exe, it will pop up with a small window that says "updating game," which "finishes" veryvery quickly, and a PLAY! button appears at the bottom right corner. When I click it, I get stuck at the same loading screen (Please wait while refresher is updated), even though I just updated the refresher.

 

I have tried completely uninstalling the program and deleting all remaining files on my computer and reinstalling multiple times. I also tried reinstalling in a custom folder location, as I was told that could help (It is currently installed in my desktop) multiple times, and I tried defragging my registry. I'm truly at a loss for what to do.

I have submitted a ticket, and I was recommended to a specialist May 30th. I guess I will just have to wait for a response.

I encountered this same problem today and I haven't touched the game in a month, I updated and it keep looping with the refresher over and over I even did a repair install with a new install file downloaded off your website.

 

I'm using windows 7.

Every time I open the game no matter where I open it from or how I get that same same message that the refresher is being patched. When I open the refresher, it says it is done patching. I've left the message up for hours at a time and nothing happens. I've probably redownloaded the game 20 times now and moved what folder I put it in. I have even waited for 3 months and then I have tried again and still nothing. Can anyone help me? This game was a great pass time for me and I want to be able to play it again. 

 

(I have Windows 8)
