[PC] Installation - Could not access the network location Property.USER_PROFILE

Hi,

I have a problem with installing the game. When i run the installer i get a message

"the network location property.USER_PROFILE could not be reached." I can get pass this by canceling the message but the it pops up in the middlle of the installation again and then it canceles it out. Please help me get pass this problem.

There are a couple of ways that you might solve this. Please attempt the following in order to resolve your error:

 
Refresher Method:
  • Without uninstalling the game, download the latest installer from the TCG Online download page: http://www.pokemon.c....line/download/
  • Run the installer.
  • Find the folder in which you installed the game, named PokemonTradingCardGameOnline, and run the Refresher executable manually.
  • Run the game client and log in.
 
Manual Program Update:
  • Without uninstalling the game, download the latest installer from the TCG Online download page: http://www.pokemon.c....line/download/
  • Run the installer.
  • Open the add/remove programs window in control panel.
  • Right click The Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.
  • Choose the Change option.
  • This will run the Refresher executable, after which you should be able to Repair or Uninstall the game.
  • If repairing doesn't correct the issue, choose Uninstall from the menu.
  • After the game has successfully uninstalled, reinstall the game using the newest installer file from http://www.pokemon.c....line/download/
  • Run the game client and log in.
 
New Admin Method:
  • Create a new administrator account on your computer.
  • Without uninstalling the game, download the latest installer from the TCG Online download page: http://www.pokemon.c....line/download/
  • Run the installer from the new admin account, indicating that you are installing for all users.
  • If issues are still experienced, use the Refresher and Manual Program. Update methods above with the newly installed files.
  • Run the game client and log in.

 

If these solutions don't work, you can go to the Microsoft Websiteread "Resolution - Method 1", and try the "Fix It For Me" option.

I know this issue has been addressed already, I tried the workaround proposed but it doesnt work. I have contacted the support center in April and they closed the ticket today without finding a solution! Help me out. 

 

When i try to Install or Uninstall the game, I receive the message : Could not access the network location Property.USER_PROFILE

 

I want the game removed from my hard drive, i want it gone.

If you have already tried all suggestions, you may want to check out the Microsoft Site's "fix it for me" solution.

I had the "Could not access the network location Property.USER_PROFILE" error. I completely deleted all Pokemon files from my computer an the error was still there when trying to reinstall the game. I opened regedit.exe and kept searching for "pokemon trading" and removed everything related to it from the registry.

 

Now I get a new error when I try to reinstall. "The older version of Pokemon Trading Game Online cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group"

 

(Windows 8.1)

Hey buddy , why don't you try microsoft fix-it . It will possibly solve your problem . It has been suggested itself by moderators . Hope it solves your problem but if not then soon any mod will be here to help you . Have a good day :)

fix-it doesn't seem to work on win 8.1... Anyways, I think I fixed it. I installed it on my old laptop, then I went into AppData folder and copied both pokemon folders to an usb. Then I put the folders on my computer and clicked pokemon application file.

 

Edit: Yup, it works now. If anyone else is having installation problem you can try this.^

 

Here are the paths to folders that need to be transfered:

C:\Users\"your user name"\AppData\LocalLow\The Pok__mon Company International

C:\Users\"your user name"\AppData\Roaming\Pokémon Trading Card Game Online

I uninstalled the game some months ago, and i want to play the game again, so i decided to download the installer and install the game again, but the installer crashes and it said something like property.USER_PROFILE

 

What should i do ?

hey so i had the game on my laptop ages and for some reason it just wasnt working so i uninstalled etc.

 

downloaded the installer and BAM smacked with User profile error.

i have already:

Rebooted

deleted and tried again

Removed all files in registry etc rebooted and started again

 

nothing is working and its beyond a joke i cant find an actual answer anywhere.

feeling totally annoyed right now hopefully someone can save my soul please? :)

 

im running windows 8.1

It doesn't sound like you've tried this suggestion:

New Admin Method:

  • Download the latest installer from the TCG Online download page: http://www.pokemon.c....line/download/(Delete all versions of the installer you currently have on your computer before doing so.)
  • Run the installer from the new admin account, indicating that you are installing for all users.
  • If issues are still experienced, use the Refresher and Manual Program. Update methods above with the newly installed files.
  • Run the game client and log in.

If that doesn't help and you've tried all other solutions listed in this thread, I recommend submitting a support ticket for further investigation. You can do so by clicking the link in my signature, signing in, and clicking "Ask a Question".
