Possible hack and more

I noticed this more than once, usually the inactive opposing player bug appears when i'm about to win, which leads me to suspect that hacking might be involved.

Even if no hacking is involved, many gameplay breaking bugs that have been around since god knows when are still around, so i can say i'm pretty disappointed at the way bugs are treated around here as i am sure many players are. Ok we got a big expansion, but many bugs still remain, so i'm asking the developers to please focus on the most critical, so we can all play without losing due to bugs (that last one is what i hate the most).

A little bit of Hanlon's razor suggests that maybe the opponent simply ragequit (i.e. force closed their TCGO game client midmatch), in which case the game client has no time to notify the server (or you) that the opponent is leaving the match.  Thus, Cammie appears after 45 seconds instead of the game declaring you winner by concede.

Unfortunately the Cammie bug is a very widespread one....

Hi there!

This is a known issue, but the Dev team doesn't suspect that this is an issue of hacking or manipulation on any player's part. This is actually an issue that the Dev team really wants to focus on resolving, as you can read in the most recent Dev Update:

Let's Talk about Bugs
Besides the above new client 2.28.1, the team is hard at work addressing issues with the game.  We have some issues that have been very hard for us to track down and fix.  We have renewed our efforts to address these bugs.  Here is the list:
  • The Inactive Opposing Player window occasionally appearing while both players are active causing the match to end.
  • The pack opening animation stalling during the loading assets step.
  • Blank card images occasionally appearing in the game.
If you run into these issues, we could really use your help.  First, please save your game log.  Then, visit pokemon.com/support and enter a question with the details of what happened along with the game log.  Your information will really help us get these fixed.

Thanks for your continued patience!

All three of those things listed in Mod_Poplar's post happened to me multiple times today.  I'll try to document them in the future.
