In match Chat not functioning

I've played two matches in a row today where the in game chat is not functioning. I will type "hello" and then press enter but the text disappears and the other player cannot see it.

I have a different strain of the same glitch.

 

The chat from the General chat never connects to the In-play chat, so what I'm texting goes to the General chat, not the player I say "Good Luck!" to.

Yeah, chat has been breaking a lot since the last few updates.

 

- In-game chat gets posted to General chatroom instead of opponent

- In-game tournament chat gets posted to Tournament chatroom instead of opponent
