Best Pokemon Types

Steel types because all steel types can learn a wide array of moves and they have the stats power to show them off. My favorite are Steelix, Metagross, Lucario, Magnezone, and Aggron

the best types are........dark/ghost type with wonderguard. :P stupid wondertomb hackers. (though I admit, it would be very fun to see a wondertomb vs. leftovers blissey battle. Toxic and softboiled/wish will generally destroy it. (I'm assuming you can still get wondertomb with toxic))

EDIT: MY FAVORITE AWESOME TYPE IS PSYCHIC!

hmmm.......Well it depends,in what region, the Pokemon Species, abilty, nature, moveset, and generation.

If we are talking about Gen 1, psychic types were considered to be a MUST HAVE in your team.

Psychic-type Pokémon were at the center of a balance issue in the Generation I games.[1] The issue arose from the lack of an effective countermeasure against Psychic-types caused by the absence of any powerful Bug-type moves (at the time the only elemental weaknesses of Psychic-types). Strengthening the gap was the fact that the only actual Bug type Pokémon to know the move was also part Poison-type, creating a vulnerability to Psychic moves, and that in the first-generation games, Ghost-type moves were not only ineffective against Psychic Pokémon, the only Ghost Pokémon at the time were part-Poison, also creating a vulnerability.

The issue was rectified in later generations with the addition of Steel and Dark types, an added weakness to Ghost-type moves, and more powerful Bug- and Ghost-type moves.

But Fire-types are also really weak defensively. Really, no type shines above the others, unless we're talking about 1st Gen. If so, Psychic is clearly the best. tounge_smile.png

problem is, my strategy revolves around something that greatly differs from you mister duck

easy 1-hit knock-outs are what fire types are for

they can also learn a multitude of different type moves, which helps in 1 knock out blows

there is no true best type, because there is a different strategy for everybody, there is no one type that can beat every other type because of different STRATEGIES

"Strong Pokémon. Weak Pokémon. That is only the selfish perception of people. Truly skilled Trainers should try to win with the Pokémon they love best.

Ghost-type moves were not only ineffective against Psychic Pokémon, the only Ghost Pokémon at the time were part-Poison, also creating a vulnerability.

Actually, psychic types were supposed to be weak to ghost type moves in generation 1, but the programmers messed up when they were programming it. In fact, there is an NPC in the game that tells you that psychic types are weak to ghost type moves and in the first Pokemon Stadium, psychic types are weak to ghost type moves. Not that it really matters, since the only ghost type moves that existed at the time were night shade and lick. :P

And also, they're is no best typing, as every typing has its own strengths and weaknesses (even dark and ghost has its disadvantages)
