whats the best gen of pokemon????

Recommended Posts

Its the starter pokemon, region layout, who the gym leaders are, and what legendary pokemon the storyline is based on that tells what generation its from. The new pokemon that can be caught, the graphics , and the new moves and abilities are just added perks that couldn't possibly be left out unless nintendo wanted heartgold and soulsilver to not sell.

...*laughter*

That's not wot "generation" even means!

I liked the 3rd gen games the best, EXCEPT for all that **** water. If there was about as much water as in other games, or if the water routes were more pleasant to travel (like: alot thinner etc)... oh and if there was a bigger variety of trainers than millions of Water-Pokemon users, it would've been alot better.

But Pokemon-wise, my favorite is 1st gen. I'm not saying this out of nostalgy: pokemon design got too wacky. Pokemon design was simple but to the point, but it got more complicated with each gen (just compare (pre-)evolutions to their older-gen (pre-)evo and you'll see the contrast).

For example, Dodrio (just something random). Say it would be introduced in Gen 5, it would likely have horns on each of their heads and having large jaws and having multi-colored feathers and wearing goggles on each head and having an airjet on its back with large exhaust pipes and having a large machine gun attached to its belly etcetera. I think that says nicely about how gen 5 Pokemon have become.

2nd gen (mainly because of Soul Silver) everything about the game was spot on, being able to explore 2 regions, really filled the game out, and left me100% satisfied with it all! Being able to catch majority of pokemon in one game feels worth it. With loads of extra add ons.

My favourite feature EVER is having the pokemon you choose, follow you around, feels like I have a proper companion like Ash & Pikachu :D

Peace out

A generation, in terms of the Pokémon franchise, is a subset of the series that debuted or is set around the same time, focusing on the same region, and featuring the same Pokémon. Generations are most separated from one another through the games, which have different amounts of Pokémon, moves, and items programmed into them depending on the generation of release, and may not be compatible with one another depending on these mechanics.

Generation 1- Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Stadium, and Pinball.

Gen 2- Gold/Silver, Crys'tal, Stadium 2, and Puzzle Challenge.

Gen 3- Ruby/Sapphire, FireRed/LeafGreen, Emerald, Pokemon Box, Colosseum, Gale of Darkness, pinball R/S, Dash, Trozei, Mystery Dungeon Red/ Blue, and the first Ranger game.

Gen 4- diamond/ Pearl, Platinum, HEARTGOLD/ SOULSILVER, Battle Revoultion, Ranch, Pokemon Rumble, Mystery Dungeon Stormy/Blazing/Light, pokepark wii, Explorers of Time,Darkness, and Sky. Ranger 2 and 3.

Gen 5/ V- Black/White, Battle & Get! Pokémon Typing DS, and Pokémon Rumble Blast-

Gen V is just starting.

Heargold and Soulsilver are remakes of the gen 2 games, but belong to Gen 4. I hope this helped.

Venusaur doesn't look cool, Charizard is overrated, and Blastoise is too weak.

Done.

The best generation is either 3 or 4. 4 is dragged down by strange things like Pokémon Dash. >_>;

Sinnoh still has the best region design of all five regions.

the first gen starters are quite reptilion when you think about it

edit: but im one for the classics that started the series

i like gens one and two

espcialy since the kept the original body formation for the dragon types

not like fourth gen(though dialga, giritina and palkia were all pretty cool)

I have no favorite Generation, each brought something new into the Franchise, and each holds a meaning. Belive it or not each generation is the start of something new, and thats what makes pokemon amazing.

Kanto(1st gen), but I'd say that the current generation is giving the 2nd gen a run for it's money. It's growing on meh

My Favorite Generation, I have to say Generation 3 simply because of the Shadow Pokemon Games (Colosseum, XDGale of Darkness) and the introduction of abilties,

Generation 4 was good in the fact they remade Gold and Silver with everything updated so that you can get almost every single pokemon via trading, and absorbing them from other games.
