Way, way earlier, Tylyr made a Snorlax deck. Here are my improvements after I've obtained the cards I need...

Just added a Yveltal EX counter, that's all.I'm looking forward to making a tank version

but I need 2 more Cherrim PLS. :P If anyone wants to trade I have XY packs for trade.

I'm thinking a fair trade is 1 XY for 1 Cherrim, but you can PM me and we can discuss this. Lol

Pokemon: 12

3 Snorlax FF

3 Virizion EX

2-2 Raichu XY

1 Genesect EX

PS. Is there a way to delete posts?

A Successful Battle Report.

vs Lucario Lucario

Opponent was never able to get set up or get any energy.

I set up an early Aggron and got off a couple Aura of the Land.

It was KOed by the active Lucario EX, but

I Rare Candy'ed the Aron on the bench and

used Milotic to take the energy from the fallen Aggron

and accelerated them onto the fresh one.

The new Aggron takes down the heavily damaged Lucario EX.

Late game Dusknoir coupled with several more Aura of the Land

allowed me to finish the game with a 3 prize turn.

This was by no means a good game at all but it showcases the strategy. :P

Porygon-Z!!!

Pokemon: 14

3-1-3 Porygon-Z (Tri-Attack)

2 Victini LT (aka Fliptini)

3 Deoxys EX

1 Thundurus EX

1 Tornadus EX

Trainer: 34

3 N, 3 Professor Sycamore, 2 Colress, 2 Random Reciever

4 Team Plasma Ball, 3 Rare Candy, 1 Sacred Ash

4 Colress Machine, 2 Max Potion, 1 Dowsing Machine ACE SPEC

2 Startling Megaphone, 2 Switch, 4 Muscle Band, 2 Plasma Frigate

Energy:12

4 Double Colorless Energy

4 Rainbow Energy

4 Plasma Energy

The Strategy:

Porygon-Z is your main attacker:

For 3 Colorless Energy: Flip 3 coins. This attack does 50 damage times the number of heads.

This means you can do up to 150 Damage. Deoxys and Muscle Band are to boost damage so you can OHKO EXs. Victini lets you reflip coins so you can flip again if unlucky.

Thundurus EX is for recovery of your Plasma Energy. Tornadus EX is for dealing with the pesky Latias EX, which blocks out the ENTIRE deck, except for Thundurus EX.

As always, feel free to give your thoughts on this deck in the comments below.

Enhanced hammer will stop this deck instantly, maybe have some basic energies.

Well, I wasn't expecting it to show up again for quite some time when I made that deck... :P

But, regardless, I'll take your suggestion to the Deck Manager and see what I can do to adapt for this new format.

But really, all of Plasma is pretty dead right about now Lol.

I'll probably take out the Rainbow for something...probably Grass so I can use Virizion EX.

I'm using Virizion EX in like EVERYTHING right now.

Edited.

4 Colress Machine, 2 Max Potion,

1 Dowsing Machine ACE SPEC

2 Startling Megaphone, 3 Switch,

4 Muscle Band, 2 Plasma Frigate

Energy:12

4 Double Colorless Energy

4 Psychic Energy

4 Plasma Energy

Tornadus EX is for dealing with the pesky Latias EX, which blocks out the ENTIRE deck.

The Psychic is for Deoxys, which can be useful in some situations.

Thundurus was too much of a liability with all the Donphan running around, so I took it out.

Really interesting Infernape build, which I noticed was asked for on another thread, playing Delphox XY alongside Infernape is definitely a neat idea, and could increase the consistency of the deck, and improve its late game which can often be a problem. Your decks are always really fun and interesting to see, looking forward to see what you can come up with next :P.

Mienshao is beast. This list goes with Trevenant.
I have variations with just Outragers and one with Cacturne PF.
Just because.

It runs like Donphan, but not quite.

Mienshao goes back into your hand with all cards attached. This is good and bad.

You also need at least one Mienfoo or Mienshao on your bench for the next turn,

so you can evolve into Mienshao or have one already there.

Good: Mienshao and all cards attached to it can't be harmed because they're in your hand.

You also need at least one Mienfoo or Mienshao on your bench.

Bad: They can be N'd back into your deck. Seismetoad locks the Silver Bangle in your hand.

Notes:

(No Robo Substitute because I don't have any

and because they're kinda useless vs Seismetoad.)
(Also: I borrowed the Trainer line from multiple sources [Donphan lists]

and edited them a bit.)

And I'm missing quite a few cards too. This is the list I'm running until I get more cards.

Mienshao-Trevenant

Pokemanz: 16
4-4 Mienshao FUF
3-2 Trevenant XY
1 Reshiram LT, 1 Zekrom LT,
1 Sigilyph LT
Trainers: 32
3 N, 3 Professor Sycamore, 2 Colress,
2 Lysandre, 2 Korrina, 2 Vs Seeker,

3 Ultra Ball,1 Computer Search,

1 Sacred Ash, 3 Fighting Stadium,
2 Switch, 1 Escape Rope, 3 Float Stone
2 Silver Bangle, 2 Muscle Band,
Energy: 12
5 Fighting Energy
1 Psychic Energy
4 Strong Energy
2 Double Colorless Energy

As you can tell when you've reached the end of the deck list,
I have no idea how to build a deck like this, so all suggestions for improving this deck would be appreciated.
Thanks! :)

Drop a Juniper and an N to add in 2 VS Seekers. Their too good not to use.

Really? Interesting.

I think the supporters improve my Seismetoad matchup

because well, Seismetoad kinda locks your Vs Seekers.

But against everything else you have a very nice point.

I don't really like discarding things in this deck and

N doesn't help that much at the end of the game.

Having up to 4 Lysandre/Korrina each game sounds sweet!

I will test this (the 2 Vs Seeker) and see how it works. Thanks for your suggestion!!! :)

(I'm thinking of +1 N and +1 Vs Seeker instead, but again, another thing to test!)

Ps. Are things in decks sometimes shaped towards the player's personal preference or playing style?

An interesting build with the Mienshao; and I remember running into a similar deck the other day on PTCGO. I guess the big issues with the deck are like you identified: Seismitoad EX  and also well timed N's from the opponent, particularly in the late game. I guess my worry playing it would be too try and keep enough stuff in play at all times to keep on the attacks every turn'; cards like Lysandre could easily take out a benched Mienfoo and leave the deck with no real attackers in play for the next turn.

Would certainly be a fun deck to try out :). And I agree with the above comment, that for versatility's sake playing a couple of copies of VS Seeker would probably be a strong play.

However,

I find that I have a hard time getting...

-More than 1 Basic Pokemon (that isn't Mienfoo) out on T1.

-A supporter in my hand on T1.

-T2 Mienshao with an Energy.

I guess I'm looking into a consistency problem with my deck

or maybe just extreme unluckiness

It could well be unluckiness, but it does seem that the deck can have consistency problems in getting that strong set-up every game, and also maintaining it consistently sadly :(. You could try tweaking the list slightly, but from how I see it there may well be no real way of completely fixing these problems :(.

Vs. Seeker getting locked out with Toad/Trevnant can be a problem. Still worth the risk. Sometimes against such matchups you can use Vs. Seeker when you can just to get the supporters back in your hand/deck instead of using the Vs. Seeker for that turn like one would normally do, such as T1.

Expanded Turbo Flareon? = Pretty typical Turbo Flareon + Druddigons and Toxicroaks.

Haven't tried building an Expanded deck in a while (since ZekEels) and I need a little advice on what cards would be good for the metagame if I ran Flareon. Here's my current (untested) list.

Pokemon-24
4 Eevee FUF, 3 Flareon PF, 2 Leafeon PF
2-2 Beartic FUF, 2-2 Raichu XY, 2-2 Toxicroak LT,
1 Terrakion LT,

Trainers-26
4 N, 4 Professor Sycamore, 2 Colress, 2 Lysandre, 2 Vs Seeker
4 Ultra Ball Battle Compressor, 1 Computer Search ACE SPEC
1 Mountain RIng, 2 Silver Bangle, 1 Muscle Band

Energy-10
4 DCE
3 Fighting
3 Grass

Thinking of adding another Mountain Ring (or any other non-Shadow Circle stadium) for a better Yveltal matchup.
I'm running Toxicroack because I'm not sure how big Mewtwo EX/Lucario EX will be. Or else I'll just use Mew EX.
Terrakion is for Manetric Ex and M-Manetric because they can one-shot everything with a Muscle Band. Should I up to 2? Hmm...maybe I would if I had another one.
3 Grass is for getting Leafeon out Asap to kill Seismetoads,
which slow down the deck to the speed of peanut butter.

Your thoughts on improving this deck? (As in your, I mean everyone who sees this post) Thanks!

For some reason I have a crazy high amount of Revenge attackers

Hmm...I'm bored, so let's try this!

Hariyama-Hax! :P (aka Lol-Hax)

Here's my updated decklist! (I would totally include Hawlucha if I had any)

Pokemon-14

4-3 Hariyama PF

2 Victini LT

2 Stunfisk LT

1 Terrakion LT

2 Landorus FUF

Trainer-34

4 Sycamore, 4 N,  2 Colress, , 2 Vs Seeker,

2 Lysandre, 1 Lysandre's Trump Card

3 Ultra Ball, 2 Evosoda, 1 Computer Search

1 Escape Rope, 1 Switch,

3 Crushing Hammer, 2 Startling Megaphone

3 Fighting Stadium, 3 Silver Bangle,

Energy-12

4 Strong

8 Fighting

I just found out that Hariyama's Pivot Throw does 180 damage

(with 2 Strong Energy, Silver Bangle, and Fighting Stadium)   :P

Also, I'm looking for advice for my Mienshao deck.

Is Sigilyph or Zekrom a better wall vs Yveltal decks?

Sigilyph is invincible and Zekrom can do big damage.

Both can be Lysandred around, and both die to Laser-Bank

From my personal experience, from playing against opponents in tournaments irl with my Yveltal deck... I find that Zekrom BLW often causes the most problems, however it is only really effective if its played with a full set of DCE. I often find that Yveltal XY non-EX is a very strong counter to Donphan decks (particularly if paired with Hard Charm), and Zekrom won't be easily knocked out by either of the Yveltals, and if you can drop a DCE on, you can often take a cheap knockout back for one energy :)
