Consistant Crashing

The game consistently crashes in mid game, not enough that I can't play ever, but enough that I'm posting to this forum. It's a safe comparison to say there are more crashes with this game than at a demolition derby. There is nothing more frustrating than being in the middle of a really good game, or about just about to win, and the crash box pops up and Windows wants to try and find a solution. The solution? Make the game more stable!

It's getting really old, really fast. What's up with that?

Hey JimmerJammer,

You might wish to look for an error.log and send it to Customer Support.

Please locate your "Pokemon Trading Card Game Online" folder (Windows search should find it), and see if there are dated folders in the TCGO folder. A dated folder will look something like this "2013-08-02_184936".

In the meantime, we can offer you some tips to improve performance in TCGO.

  • Ensure that you have the newest video and audio drivers for your system, downloaded from the manufacturer's website.
  • Try lowering your desktop resolution to 1024x768.
  • Once in the game, go to your Settings and change performance to "Fastest" and uncheck the special effect boxes, lower your game resolution to 1024x768.
  • Try switching the game to windowed mode from the in-game Settings.
  • Try running TCGO from the “Refresher” file, which can be found in your “Pokemon Trading Card Game Online” folder.
  • Run a virus / malware scan. From your Windows system accessories run Disk Defragmenter.
  • Before running TCGO, close any unnecessary background programs (web browsers, word processor, etc.).

Hope it helps.
