I had a Boundaries Crossed Ditto as my active Pokemon then used his ability to put a Pumpkaboo (XY) onto him. On my next turn, I tried to evolve my Pumpkaboo into Gourgeist (XY) but couldn't. I am assuming this bug has somthing to do with me having Ditto.

I played a entire new game and the same thing happened once again. I am 100% confident that the problem is it either Ditto or Pumpkaboo.

Hi Spartanclone001,

 

From the Known Bugs thread, which can be viewed at any time from the Announcements subforum:

Ditto (#108): After the Transform Ability is used to convert Ditto into a Basic Pokémon, that Pokémon cannot evolve.

 

As this is a known bug, I'll be closing this thread. Regardless we thank you for your report! :)
