Has Ash ever caught Pokemon of the same type?

In all the years of the Pokemon tv series, has Ash at any point ever caught or captured more than one of the same type of Pokemon before? Not just defeated but actually captured a duplicate Pokemon in a Pokeball. My guess would be no but if anybody can confirm otherwise it would be interesting to know.

Ash actually has about 30 Tauros if I remember correctly...

Nope, never. Yeah, he has dozens of Tauros but that was only thx to Prof. Oak.

Actually,no.In the banned safari zone episode,tauros kept getting in the way of the safari ball when he was trying catch diferrent pokemon.

Kdoll's right. (and the only reason we never saw that episode was because guns and other controversies were involved
