Chesnaught Deck

The only remotely reasonable strategy I'm able to come up with is using it as a wall with hit an run attackers. When Chesnaught has the niche of hurting every kind of attacker instead of using Safeguard pokémon or Latias EX to try and wall the opponent.

It can be quite difficult to knock out due to it's solid 160 HP and the ability to heal off any damage with Max Potion.

Yeah, I agree with Cymantex. There are then two key decisions in such a Chesnaught/Hit-and-run deck: which attacker(s) to use, and how to switch Chesnaught out every turn.

The latter is easier to answer: either float stones or Darkrai and Dark/Rainbow/Blend energy. Both have disadvantages: Tool Scrapper frustrates one, but the need to re-attach energy after using Max Potion on Chesnaught complicates the other. (Plus, float stone eliminates the possibility of using rocky helmets to up damage.)

The other question is which attacker to use; we have a wide variety of types, energy requirements, and damage outputs in the current format: Palkia EX does 50 (70 with muscle band) for 3 of any type, PB Reuniclus does 70 for 3, Ninjask does 60 for 2, and PF Seismitoad does 80 for 4 (meh). There might be a few more, but in all cases, the issue is still lack of significant damage in a format where one-hit KO's and max potion are omnipresent.

But Chesnaught could still be fun!
