How come I can't trade?

I am fairly new and wanted to try out some trading, I bought a booster pack and wanted to trade some unwanted Pokemon I got from them, but when I create a trade it doesn't come up with any cards that I can offer, except energy cards.

 

Also when browsing public trading offers even if I have the card in my collection it won't let me put them up, I cannot tag my cards for trading in my collection either. I have made sure these cards are not being used in any deck at the time.

 

Can anybody help with this please?

Sounds like they are locked. When you said you bought a booster pack, do you mean the PTCGO token store or a booster pack in real life?

Ah, I thought you redeemed the packs. Packs and decks you buy with Tokens or receive from Trainer Challenge and Daily Rewards cannot be traded, I'm afraid. You have to buy packs/decks in real life and redeem the codes that come with them. That is only way you are able to trade until the Gems feature is released.

Or you could buy Online booster codes on several sites, with some searching. This is a often cheaper option for those who dont play the game in real life.

Thats a first time i heard of it, most of the vast community members buy codes online. Theres however a rule not allowing us to post external links. But with searching u can find everything u need.
