Mac Users Screen resolution

I'm having a problem with the graphics on my mac - when I open the client, the resolution (even when adjusted using settings options) causes the image to be difficult to be seen; the images are squashed. If full screen is used the images are contorted to the point its impossible to play. If you use a window, the client is stretched so much it extends the screen and is again impossible to play.
