Friends tab, chat tab, and announcements tab are broken

My friends, and chat tab are grayed out, and i can view the announcements tab but i cant click on the announcements. So I can't add a friend or view friends. My friend logged in on his account on the same computer and the tabs work. And when he searches me on a different computer across the house to add me as a friend it says that i am offline. I checked my profile settings and everything is open so i am at a loss.

I also can't find the trade tab

I just realized that I don't have a trade tab as well. My friend just logged on my computer and his is there. What is going on is this a profile problem

This is a known issue which the Dev team is looking into. For now, it may help to log into pokemon.com, access your profile, click "Edit Profile", click "Pokémon TCG Online Settings", change your social settings to "Custom", and change any of the default settings to any other choice. Players have reported that changing chat to limited in particular has helped solve this.

Unfortunately changing my social setting to custom and limiting chat didn't solve it

So when should we see a fix? Because this is game breaking for anyone who has a new account.

Players have reported that changing chat to limited in particular has helped solve this.

 

If I recall correctly, that was a different issue for an existing account. New accounts made after the main site UI change face a different issue, which has yet to be fixed.

The community recently alerted us to a bug which prevented accounts created after February 1st from accessing the Friends and Chat features of the game. Additionally, these users could connect to the PvP server, but would be left in the "Searching for opponent" state indefinitely. We identified the cause of this bug and released a hotfix to address it yesterday evening. Users who continue to experience connection issues with the Social or PvP features of the game should log in at http://www.pokemon.com/support and submit a support ticket for further assistance.
