Virbank City Gym Bug

Yesterday I play with someone using a Garchomp deck. I have a Darkrai EX with Dark Claw and VIrbank City Gym is on the field. I use Hypnotoxic lasers and I attack Garchomp with Night Spear which is suppose to knock it out, but it didn't get knock out because the poison only deals 10 damage instead of 30 damages. This means that Virbank City Gym isn't working sometime? If this is a bug, I hope it is fixed soon, Thanks.

It would be incredibly helpful if you could provide any more information. What exact Garchomp (including set/card number) did not receive the correct damage?

sure there wasn't something like a hard charm reducing 20 damage or maybe a giant cape extending hp by 20? just trying to make sure we didn't overlook something obvious. not sure if there's any other possible situations

This glitch has also happened to me in several battles.

 

In one instance, hard charm was on the Active Pokemon, but that should not matter because hard charm only affects "damage from attacks", not damage from conditions like poison or burn.

yea but i thought maybe hard charm might have reduced the base dmg of night spear and therefore the opposing pokemon was not knocked out

I noticed this Virbank Laser bug as well, playing with a Fairy deck and it happened twice, once vs. a Cobalion EX and once vs. a Terrakion, I had hit for 100 with Xerneas and Virbank was the stadium and I had lasered the pokemon. My attack showed 100 in red font, but when it was opponents turn, only 110 damage was on his active pokemon, not 130.

 

It would be really really helpful if we could somehow save Game Log information (maybe even the same way how we can currently export our avatar picture to our desktop, lol). Not only could we have a clear record of play/moves for all these bugs which would greatly help the mods!! but it also would help the player learn and develop with the game, etc. All other online games I have played have this. I'm not sure why this hasn't happened on here yet, as it would greatly help the mods, save the mods loads of time, and save so much frustration by users, regarding bugs.

Happened to me today. I played against a Yveltal/Yveltal EX/ Darkrai deck. I had Garbodor out with a tool attached when the Laser was played. Even though there was a Virbank in play only 10 damage was occurring between turns. Regardless of what cards are being played, none of them that I am aware of should affect the extra 20 damage from poison when Virbank is in play.

I'll file a bug report for this, but it's going to be difficult to create repro steps based on the limited information in this thread. If anyone manages to put together a consistent set of repro steps, that would be immensely helpful.
