Counter, no counter?

I don't know if I'm just stupid or if it is my third 'bug' that I have come across, but it seems that I cannot remove cards from a trade in the 'counter' option. I find this kind of hilarious, as the only way to counter is to send the same trade back, or up the ante. It seems things can get pretty ridiculous pretty exponentially. Although this is somewhat hilarious it also adds impracticability to one of my favorite functions under the trading category
