Copy and paste in chat lobbies

why are there so many different chat lobbies? (lobby1 - lobby 5, casual strategy, new players, trading post - just some of them)

Usually to talk about the game or the specific kinds which they are referred to. But the reality is another thing.

 

If I start the game I'm in one of the lobbies 1-4. And the talk there is no way close to a good talk with persons.

 

Every few seconds someone comes along with a text message of 2, 3 or sometimes even 4 lines. Mostly we have an advertisement for trading with that person. Just a few seconds later this message appears in the next lobby. Obviously players type their message in a text document and with copy and paste they make a real mess of the chat.

 

I suggest that the chat should become a place where it's not possible to copy text from other documents in there, this makes the chat lobby better for talk and don't give payers a way to spam their messages literally spoken every minute in all lobbies - and on top of that here they mostly aren't in there because of jumping from lobby 1 to lobby 2 to lobby 3 to lobby 4 to lobby 1 and so on. And every time only for message posting and lobby leaving.

One problem I see with this is people will start using auto-typing machines which are a menace...

Please do not remove the paste function. I have to rally for a different fix. I'd much rather see Trading and Adverts forced into their proper Lobby's.

I find this part funny and Mefftu has a good point here. The one thing I think nobody realizes though is once you leave a lobby to paste in another lobby, nobody in the first lobby can find you in the players list, meaning your advert was completely useless. You can only find people in the list if you're both in the same lobby. Therefore, the people pasting adverts in multiple lobby's are wasting their time and basically spamming chat for no reason. That's the problem. As soon as all the advertisers realize they can only paste in one lobby at a time, the less we will see this as a problem.
