So I've got a predicament. I have two build here, and I would like opinions on both.

Outrage Burn

Pokemon

  • 3 Evevee [PF]
  • 3 Leafeon [PF]
  • 3 Litwick [PF]
  • 1 Lamptent [PF]
  • 3 Chandelure [PF]
  • 2 Reshiram [NXD]
  • 2 Victini EX [PS]

Trainers

  • 4 N
  • 4 Professor Juniper
  • 4 Rare Candy
  • 3 Ultra Ball
  • 3 Super Rod
  • 3 Pokemon Catcher
  • 2 Switch
  • 2 Plasma Ball
  • 1 Tool Scrapper
  • 1 Skyla
  • 1 Dowsing Machine
  • 3 Frozen City

Energy

  • 8 Fire Energy
  • 4 Double Colorless Energy

Counter/ Energy Burn

Pokemon

  • 2 Evevee [PF]
  • 2 Leafeon [PF]
  • 3 Litwick [PF]
  • 1 Lamptent [PF]
  • 3 Chandelure [PF]
  • 2 Reshiram [NXD]
  • 2 Victini EX [PS]
  • 2 Manaphy [PS]
  • 2 White Kyurem EX [PS] or Mewtwo EX [NXD]

Trainers

  • 2 Cheren
  • 2 Professor Juniper
  • 4 N
  • 2 Rare Candy
  • 2 Ultra Ball
  • 3 Super Rod
  • 2 Pokemon Catcher
  • 2 Switch
  • 1 Tool Scrapper
  • 1 Skyla
  • 3 Frozen City

Energy

  • 8 Fire Energy
  • 4 Water Energy
  • 4 Double Colorless Energy

------------------

Outrage Burn I've played, and is very slow. I have difficulty keeping energies and Pokemon in my hand, and my hand quickly fills up with trainers I can't use.

Counter/ Energy burn is an attempt at fixing the previous deck. I haven't tried it, so it's all theoretical.

Any suggestions?

I don't think cheren is that good, would stick with juni personally.

I don't see an ace spec for that second build, i'm guessing it would be dowsing as well like with outrage burn and in that case that's fine.computer search wouldn't be a bad option either.

the other thing I'd say is the pokemon searching items might not be enough?maybe a few level balls to get those litwicks/eevees out?

also u can turn your chandelures/leafeon's into manaphys with reversal trigger, then you don't have to run the water energy

don't think you need to run 3 frozen cities, the people who run 3 are those whose decks depend heavily on the stadium's effect, I think for your deck frozen city gives you a bit of an advantage but you can survive without it, so 2 might not be too bad.

3 super rod might be a bit overkill, your deck doesn't discard very fast so putting 3 just means u'll often be drawing it when u don't need it.

I'd definitely keep the skyla and candy numbers up to hopefully speed up the chandelure buildup.

I run mine with white kyurem ex(PS) and reuniclus to control the damage output. Problem is reuniclus becomes catcher bait although that might change with the new rules.

I just run victini ex in mine for acceleration, didn't bother with emboar or chandelure, too inconsistent.
