I can't add friends or access lobbies!

Hey there, I just want to battle girlfriend. Her client works perfect and she has lobbies and a friend's list and all that. My Notification and Friends buttons at the top are blacked out, and I have an error message about lobbies in the bottom left. I've read about spaces in usernames, but I don't have one in mine. I've tried turning off my firewall, and triple checked all of my profile settings are open. (I'm 19.)

 

I'm using the latest version of the Mac client.

I would suggest re-installing the game if you haven't tried that already - that normally fixes this type of bug. It's something to try whilst you wait for a Moderator to respond with some formal advice :)

Hi EthanTheFro,

 

I've looked into your account and everything seems to be working properly. This tells me that the problem likely has to do with your game file.

 

I recommend doing a full uninstall of the game. Directions for this can be found on the FAQ page under "How Do I Install/Uninstall the Pokémon TCG Online for Windows/Mac?". Please make sure that all traces of the game (including the installer and any Pokémon-related files and folders) are removed from your system, and download the installer from the website using a web browser other than Google Chrome. Chrome can cause problems with the download.

 

Once you've downloaded the installer, make sure you put the folder under a different directory than the default recommendation and name it something other than the default name.

I have the exact same problem that EthanTheFro has and I have uninstalled the game twice doing everything such as putting the folder under a different directory and not using Google Chrome to download the game.

I just had my friend login to his account using my computer and he has a friends list and lobby, while I do not when I login to my account. So there is nothing wrong with my game file, it's got to be something with the account. Fix please?
