I just tested this using Kingdra and Seadra vs. benched Squirtles and the damage was reduced to 0 as usual.

 

Do you have any more information regarding this issue? It could be specific to a particular attack.

Squirtle doesn't prevent bench damage to all benched pokemon, ya know. MrMime does. Squirtle only prevents benched damage to itself if it's on the bench.

I played a deck with squirtle yesterday and my pf kyurem couldn't touch the squirtles on the bench with its 30 damage to a bench pokemon. So it must have been some weird bug?
