Hello everyone mu name is Zidjian. My friend recently got me into the TCG and i was wanting to build a deck that i could play with. I attend a local chapter and we get togther every monday and play. I was wondering if there were any reccomendations. I have some Espeons and Bulbasaurs with his evolutions so i was thinking about using those as my two main attackers. Any help would really be appreciated. Thank you.<img src="http://www.pokemontcg.com/javascripts/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/png/regular_smile.png" alt="" />

A very popular deck right now uses Gengar and Vileplume, so there's your Grass and Psychic types. However, if you're trying to build something with Espeon, I'd see if I could also trade to get Leafeon as well so you have both options for your Eevee to evolve into. Make sure to include good Supporters like Pokémon Collector, Professor Oak's New Theory, and Bebe's Search to help you get more cards that you need. There's a pretty good Espeon in HS: Undaunted, so see if you can trade for that. I've attached a pic of it:

Well I am new to the trading card game too. However, after you learn all the rules, its easy to do it all yourself. what I recommend you do is play the video games. You will learn alot and start to love pokemon. You will find your favorites and what kind of pokemon you like to use the most. and then its alot more fun and easy to understand

After you play the games you will be knowledgeable about pokemon to know what you want in your deck

and If you dont feel like playing one of the greatest games ever created.......go buy a starter deck

Fixed! wink_smile.png Pokemon names always follow the singular-and-plural-rule, like "one deer" and "many deer".

You sure we're looking at the same card here? Espeon Prime is just not playable, though if its just at some friendly tourney's i suppose you could.

VileGar is definitely the main Grass/Psychic deck at the moment, we need more people to play Jumpluff though. tounge_smile.png

Hm... I wouldn't know, since I don't watch TV that often. adsjlkfdjsklfajdslkjfalksdjdlkjlkdsjlkfdjlk

Please excuse that. It's tough typing with your head in a fridge...

No, thanks. I've already tried.*** didn't work. That's why I set the fridge to "thaw".

So, will someone explain to me why you can't use that card?

(I was going to add "please" to that, but the censor doesn't like polite questions omg_smile.png)

I heard that the Green Tornado deck will be Grass Psychic, but don't take my word on it. It is just based on theory and analysis.

Blue Assault has that electric spider, so it is Blue and Yellow.

Red Frenzy has Emboar, which is fire and fighting, so Red and Orange.

Green Tornado has Grass and something. Possibly the last remaining original six element. Psychic, hence Green and Violet.

Yeah, maybe. Because, Psychic in the TCG can mean Poison (which makes no sense, IMO), which fits in with Grass quite nicely. I also heard that G.T. will be the best deck. (Snivy for the win!)

BTW, what did that have to do with my question? I was asking why you couldn't use Espeon PRIME in tournaments, and you started talking about the new B&W decks! @.@

Aw crap, I shouldn't of quoted you, but my aim was to respond to the opening post. I guess I clicked quote instead of post reply. I R El Stupido.

If I am not mistaken, I don't believe that there is anyone here mentioning not being able to use Espeon Prime in a tournament. But there is this one Prime card that you can't use. In fact, you won't be able to find it anywhere. It is the ever elusive Optimus Prime card.

Yeah, what i meant by that other comment, was that playing Espeon Prime at a proper tournament, will get you crushed in a few seconds flat, Eevee decks don't work. It's Pokebody looks good, but when this means setting up several different Eon pokemon, and also having all the right energy's, it's too much hassle.

Ah... I see. So you're saying it's just not good in a serious match, like a Farfetch'd. Actually, I don't know if they're good for any match. Although, my Farfetch'd did help me catch all but 3 legendaries in Black!

I heard Farfetch'd was amazing though! cry_smile.png

The bad point about the TCG is that POP is mostly controlled by LuxChomp, VileGar, etc. Basically a few number of decks that everyone uses, making it a lot more boring.

You can't, at least, not yet. You have to wait until the official launch date: the sixth. Of December! Muhahahaha!!! devil_smile.png

LOL! Actually, it's the sixth of April, so don't worry. You'll be able to enter the codes tomorrow. Stores just like to jump the gun with these release dates.

I'm getting Green Tornado, because everyone knows that Snivy owns. Then there are those that say that Oshawott owns Snivy. And then there's the tiny majority that likes Tepig. Poor do-it-yourself bacon... sad_smile.png

Do you play the games? In Dream world, there is supposed to be a Snivy with the ability Contrary. Contrary reverses stat changes. Leaf Storm normally -2 stages for Special Attack. NOW it will do +2 special attack. Can't wait till Dream World comes out!! HAve a team already planned out.

Too bad Snivy and its evo line are absolutely worthless without Dream World, which is why I PC'd Snivy after the first gym in-game. ^.^
