About a month ago I was going through a deck thread and saw different deck ideas that folks were posting. One in particular caught my eye the most. It was a Plasma Freeze deck by JackJack012. The card's weren't even out then but the idea of the deck was interesting. Since I saw her first with the idea the credit of this deck mainly goes to her.

Now I've made a few changes to the deck myself. I'll post hers and then I'll post the changes I made. What I'm hoping to gain is some suggestions on how to improve the deck. I've played with it 19 times thus far on Expert Unlimited and have lost only three times. Anyways heres the deck.

Summary

The main logic of this deck is to get Absol as your starter. Having absol with a Colress Machine and a Dark energy on your first draw is almost a guaranteed 60+ just on the first turn. And while Absol is being a pest, you can then set up your Umbreons, DarkRai, and more Absol. Colress Machines to have atleast one Plasma Energy on your Absol while equipping the Dark Energies to your Darkrai. And what makes everything so much sweeter is the Dark Claws to power up those moves. I've done atleast ten 100+ attacks on just my opening hand.

The weakness to this deck is that if your opponent does not set down a consistent bench, Absols moves get powered down. This is where setting up a Darkrai becomes very crucial as well as having atleast 2 Umbreons ready to go. The longer you allow your opponent to set up, the faster this deck crumbles. If those Umbreons are not set up your Absol is easier to pick off. However, if your Absol does get picked off you still have a bit more time to set up due to the fact that it's not an EX therefore your opponent only gets to take one card.

Plans

Now I know that Oaks aren't allowed in modified decks, so I figure I can easily switch both of them out for 1 more Colress and 1 Juniper or N. What I'm really trying to decide is what else should I do. I have not found the Pokemon Center to be much of a help. I've only needed it once to really get out of a sticky situation and I don't remember what deck I was going up against. But it helped me heal up my Darkrais. I was thinking of adding 2 DeoxysEX for more power, but I would be taking up bench space. In addition the attacks are pretty lethal as they are. I've also considered adding a Sableye or two. I'm not very fond of the Gold Potion but it has helped me on several occasions.

I've also been a victim of sleep and paralysis. There is nothing in this deck to counter that, so I've also wondered if I should add a few switches? Anyways, all suggestions and constructive criticism are welcomed.

Well, considering that Darkrai gives free retreat, I think Switches are unnecessary. Also, take out one Oak for a Colress and take out the other Oak for a Plasma Badge. They are useful for Darkrai. I wouldn't add any Deoxys, they are too easily sniped. Most peopl put them on their bench, but I've Catchered one with an active Mewtwo and destroyed Deoxys. So, I would keep the Gold Potion and toss one Pokemon Center. I would add in instead maybe a Sableye. You could also try to throw in another one. Also, Skyla is very useful for this deck. Fish out a trainer like Gold Potion and Pokemon Center. Try to fit in Skyla. Well, anyway, Good luck and God bless!

I beg to differ on Deoxys. Since you're playing Umbreon anyway, you might as well have something else to use it with. Just switch out a couple of Darkness energy for Prisms or Blend GRPDs and you'd be able to attack with Deoxys without trouble. Alternatively, you can surprise your opponents by playing Deoxys and immediately powering it up to attack the same turn.

The reason I considered the switch is because once you're hit with sleep or paralysis, the free retreat is a complete non factor. And I should defintley add some Skylas.

Good idea on the Prisms and Blends. Would help for a fast set up as well on a Deoxys.
