Back in the 1970s, who knew that in 20 years a kid with a bug collecting hobby would create one of the biggest video game franchises ever? Satoshi Tajiri started work on Pokémon Red and Green Versions in 1990, along with the help of Ken Sugimori, whom designed the first 151 Pokémon. 6 years later, the games were released in japan, then in 1998 PokéMania took America by storm! This thread is here to talk about the Pokémon Video Games we all know and love. The plot, gameplay, music, sound, graphics and all other aspects of Pokémon that made it so great. Have fun!

The first Pokemon game I played was FireRed, but my favorite probably is SS

I started with Silver, and until Black 2 it was still my favorite. Strangely Silver is more fun for me than Diamond and Platinum are.

I started with Yellow, then I got Pokemon Cristal then leafgreen, then Sapphire (Which I gave away), then emerald, then I got a used copy of pokemon red. I still have yet to get a DS, so I don't own any 4th or 5th gen games . Acheivement unlocked! a Moderator voted in my Poll! Booyah!

I played Blue back in 1998 with a clear purple Game Boy Color!

I started with SS, then I went back down to Platinum which I didn't really enjoy as much *****. Black is my favorite but Black 2 could bump it of its perch

Yeah White 2 bumped off Black just cause of the medals and Join Avenue.

I started with Diamond, it was good game, though I lost it. I got also Platinum and HG. White 2 is my only gen 5 pokemon game. Favorite is White 2 thanks to the connetivity to PDW, being able to compete in the PWT, and awesome cutscenes. HG is my secong favorite 'cause you can catch a lot of legendary pokemon, travel to Kanto, and competing in the pokeathlon.

Hey, I'm back with good news and bad news. The good news is I finally got a DS Lite! The bad news is I don't have any games for it, and the hinge isn't doing so well, and there are ded spots on the touchscreen.

Why didn't you get a 3DS?

Well, I had to trade my GBA SP (the one that didn't play GBC games) for it, and the DS Lite has Backwards compatibility with GBA games.

Oh. I see. But you should get one sometime. I have a DSlite, DSi, and a 3DS (my precious baby as I refer him) and I use all of them.

Sure, when I get $170 that I won't waste on Hot pockets. BTW anyone know how to fix the hinge without a tri-wing screwdriver?

Actually, I've found some really good deals at retailers for the holidays. One store in my town has a new 3DS for a sale price of $137.99 lasting through Christmas.

My DS lite completely broke down the other day. I haven't been on the forums lately because of that.
