Do shinies matter?

  1. 1. Do shinies matter?

    • Yes, I seek them out!
    • No, their stats are the same either way.
    • Eh, they're cool, but I really don't care if I don't find one, but if I do, I catch it...
    • Naw. They look funny. I prefer the regular coloration.

I am an INSANE shiny hunter in bw2. But some shinies look almost the same as their properly-colored counterparts, being just a shade lighter/darker than the norm. Some pokemon in my opinion also look better in their normal coloring and just look weird shiny. What do you think?

I agree. Some shinies just look strange and I don't like the colors that were chosen for them. While others like a slightly different colored Pikachu doesn't even make a difference. I think the red Gyarados is the most striking shiny.

Metagross, Gardevoir, and Cahndelure looks amazing as shinies. Others like Mewtwo, Krookodile, and Charizard do not. It's all up to personal opinion, I guess.

Charizard looks good shiny, but Charmander and Charmeleon don't look that great, personally there are some shinies that just look awful like Shiny Salamence or Shiny Lickylicky

Got shiny drapion from gts. Looks cool, but not much differecnce from the regular one. Considering adding it to my team though, oddly enough.

Shame it's impossible to get a (real) shiny Reshiram, if it's one of your favourites...

I usually do make any of my properly IVed/EVed Pokémon shiny, just because, though sometimes the shiny form looks hardly any different (my first non SRed shiny was a Starly... you can barely tell the difference!). Some are quite striking, though.
