Thanks for the info Prof. It's nice to have trading back. It's still pretty clunky though, so I hope future updates will streamline the process some. Looks like November will be a pretty quiet month, but at least we're getting Boundaries Crossed.

 

Am I the only one who finds it a little odd that the avatar creator is taking such a high priority? I would think things like Gems, Formats, or Tournaments would be more in demand. Maybe it would be worth polling the community in the future to see which updates we'd like most?

I've been waiting ages for the mac client and in a few weeks I can get my game back on. I've a pile of codes to input and can't wait to rebuild my deck.

It's great to have Trading back. I've noticed that it does lag a bit when refreshing the screen for Public Trades, but hopefully that'll be fixed within the coming months.

If I had to guess at the reason the Avatar Creator is taking such a priority is that a lot of the 'online product' is not just cards - it's avatar items as well. A lot of people have already unlocked a bunch of online product for their avatar, so that could be one reason that the AC is being prioritised - to get people product they should already have.

 

Another reason may be that tournaments, gems etc will all be functioning in relation to avatar items, and that development-wise it will be easier to implement the avatar items first, then build gems, keys and tournaments around that, than to try and do it the other way around. After all you always build the foundations of a house first before you build the walls . Though Formats shouldn't have any link to avatar items, so hopefully that's next on the list once Boundaries Crossed is smoothed out...

 

Very happy to see Trading up - it's a very crucial foundation of the game. I can only see things improving from here! Can't say the Mac Client affects me at all, but I know a lot of friends who will appreciate it, and I suppose it will mean we will all have more players to test and trade with.

 

Boundaries Crossed will be great but disappointed with TPCi's decision to cut some crucial cards from the set...

 

Thanks again for the monthly updates Mathis! Very much appreciated. Any chance we could get a list of approximate priorities post Avatar Creator + Boundaries Crossed? I know it would be impractical to give any date estimates yet, but it would be nice to know what the developers think will be the next step after the updates we know about.

It is time to introduce formats, "Standard" from HGSS-on and Modified followed rules from PKM TCG. Some people (and it is obviously intentional) use cards from older sets and playing JunkArms, Dual Ball, Collector etc. I do not speak about novice decks, but Tier One or 1 1/2 deck.

 

So, when we could expect playing in this different formats ?

Will I have to download trainer challenge to access the Avatar Creator, or will it be web-based? My computer crashes a lot, so I have to go on Safe mode (With Networking). So I may not be able to access the game.

Are we getting non-avatar game items with this update as well so we don't have a bunch of useless coins and people going "WHAT ARE TOKENS FOR" in the chat lobbies every five seconds?
